Feb 21, 2012 Longer lunchtime

How would you feel if you figured out you have or had obesity problems in your teenage years? It would feel horrible wouldnt it? Children are having health problems because most schools give students so little time to eat that they could be unknowingly providing to the childhood obesity problems. Its common that obese people are more prone to diseases like cancer, heart problems, stroke, sleep apnea, and other liver and bone diseases (Evans). I believe that it would be more beneficial for most of the students to have a longer lunch.

Eating too fast can also give you indigestion or heartburn (Eads). It also inhibits proper digestion, which means your body isnt absorbing all the nutrients that youre consuming. U.S. research shows that when people eat quickly, they consume more calories, enjoy the meal less and feel hungrier an hour later. Most schools around the world have 26-30 minutes of lunch. Its not enough time as you can see. The schools need to have longer lunches because it would benefit the teachers. They would have more time to get prepared. If they have more time to get prepared for the lesson they are going to teach the students.

Students who eat healthy food need more time because it takes more time to chew a whole apple than applesauce. Eating an entree salad takes longer than

El-Shaeer 2 eating a cheeseburger or chicken nuggets, because of the crunching and chewing of the raw vegetables. Almost 32 million kids eat the school lunch every day, and more than 11 million eat the breakfast served there. Overall, kids consume about 30% to 50% of their calories in the school meal programs (Jones). Some people dont prefer longer lunchtime because they dont eat lunch or they have no friends to eat with at lunch so they have no desire to sit in an empty table without anyone. Its unfair for student to suffer health problems because of the schools lunch systems. The humans brain needs food to concentrate and think when getting into the classroom.

My friend told me a story about this obese guy. His wife got a call from the hospital saying that her daughter was in a car accident. She told her husband about it, he looked at the empty space in front of him, which seemed like he was in a lonely deep black hole, and he fainted immediately after hearing the news. Due to his heart disease history, his wife called 911, they came as soon as possible to get her husband, and in minutes he was in the same hospital as his daughter. He opened his eyes in the process of the paramedics taking him to the emergency room, but he saw his wife talking to a doctor and he heard the doctor tell her that his daughter had died in the middle of surgery. Thats when his heart instantly stopped, and the doctors and paramedics couldnt revive him. That was the wifes worst day of her entire life.

I believe schools need to make lunch time longer for the best of the majority of the students. Students sit in class and their stomach are starting to rumble.

El-Shaeer 3 Finally, the bell rings and its time for lunch. After all that time in class, they deserve a chance to head to the cafeteria and sit down, relax, and enjoy the company of their friends over a lunchtime meal. So to make a change in the world and help, write a letter to the Department of Education saying to make all lunch time in the USA at least one hour long and keep the school hours the same for the best and to keep students away of obesity.

Bend rules don't break them. You say more with less. You have passion about what you do. You have your own language. You talk highly of other people. You know that every problem has a solution. You don't procrastinate. You never talk down to anyone ever. You enjoy wearing black. You don't avoid fear - you head towards it at pace. You are friends with all types of people. You are not a member of the masons or any other similar organization.

El-Shaeer 6 It happens because of the rules of exponents being added or subtracted to result in multiplication and division of larger numbers... Actually, this is an interesting answer. The reason is really just to stay consistent with other powers of the same number. For example, if you increase the power of a number by one, you notice that it is the same as multiplying by that number. For example, 4^2 = 16; 16x4=64=4^3.

Similarly, 4^-2 = 1/16; 1/16 x 4 = 1/4 = 4^-1. Therefore, if we add one more to the exponent of 4^-1, we should 1/4 by 4 again. Therefore, 4^(-1+1) = 4^0 = 1/4 x 4 = 1.

This also works in the other direction. Every time you decrease a number's exponent by one, it is the same as dividing by the number. 4^2=16, 4^1 = 4, so logically 4^0= 4 / 4 = 1.
