MY ENGLISH CLASS Today, during my E period, I was told by my teacher to give a speech. I felt really terrible.

I have been memorizing my speech for a week now but I felt I was still not yet prepared. My hands were cold and wet with perspiration. My teacher told me not to worry and that I should just do my best. Then I started delivering my speech. Oh, standing up there seeing all the eyes staring at me, I nealy froze to death. Then the first word came out and then the second, then the third. Finally I finished my speech. Then everybody clapped their hands. My teacher said that I taked too softly and too fast. I should have just relaxed. Then I remembered that I forgot to say a whole paragraph. It was really terrible. Like they say, theres always a first time for everything. Hopefully next time I can do better. Actually I didnt do that bad. My other classmates did worse than me ( if thats any consolation at all). But, I have to get usedd to it for this wasnt going to be my first and last time.\

UNEMPLOYMENT. 1 Agreement Causes of the increase of unemployment, especially among young people.

-Unemployment and all its problems has become the major problem facing governments to day. This is mainly due to the technological revolution and widespread use of computer in industry and business. + Too many highschool and college graduates but not enough jobs. + Thousands of young people leave school, college, university every year in a country, most of them do not have necessary experience for jobs because: Their education is too academic, they lack practice. They have no chance to be tried for a job in a business perhaps because of competition with others. + Many companies have had to close due to either financial difficulties or stiff competition in market. Most of the experienced employees because redundant. Its easy for them to find jobs in other companies. + Not enough vocational training centers. Many highschool dropout cant go on to college or university for limitation of the numberof entrance applicants. They have to do trained particular skills, ex. the skills in carpentry, smithy, plumbing, cookery, needlework or masonry. + The distribution of enterprises have not made properly, in harmony. + Most of companies, factories have been set up in big cities. Thats why young people come into big cities in hopes of finding a job from nearly everywhere in this country. ( or in others). + Many foregin investor feel unsafe when investing money into VN . Many regulations and rules in economic law are not suitable for foreign investers. 2. Things to be done

- More vocational training centers and Careers Advisory Services should be opened for highschool graduates: Careers officers give young people advices on interview techniques, application forms, letters, pay, train young people particular skills. - Regulations and rules in economic laws have tobe adjusted to be more or less suitable to foregin investor. - Practical subjects had better be introduced in school so that students can begin tobe accustomed to some necessary skills. - A special policy should be imposed on investor in new econonic zones, especially in other provinces. For ex, income tax should be considerablyreduced. At the same time, a large sum of national budget should ve invested in improving the infrastructures in the new zones. - Healthy attitude to jobs: be flexible by adapting yourselves to different jobs, enjoy that you are doing than do what you enjoy. 3. Disagreements - In Sweden, Norway, Brunei Unemploymment is too low: most of young people have a job after school or college or whenever they want. In frastructure in such countries are in very good condition, encouraging foreign investor. - The polulation is stable, on balance. - The economic regulations/ laws between the developed coutries are clear and consistent. - A financial or economic crisis hardly happen there. - The geographical location of such coutries are favorable. The weather is very good. This is impotant as it makes investors feel safe and secure to do business there.

4 . Begin the topic - Unemployment is always a big concern of many countries, Governments take it into account when working out policies for the economic. How should they balance between the GDP target and the tariff so that the unemployment is smallest? Also our traditional opinions about work must be changed to make ourselves more employable. - Most of students find it difficult to get a job after college. And we are not surprised that they are concentrating on studying a lot of thing at college hopes of finding a job afterwards.Unfoertunately, few of them are lucky to have a job. Gov and businesses can help solve what is arguably the biggest social and political problem of all time.

WTO

Benefits By joining WTO, we can see the impact on both the macro and micro levels. The greatest benefits gained from Vietnam integration is favorable export market for Vietnam to expand. Because Vietnam is entitled to unconditional MFN rules, under which Vietnam will be the goods to compete equally with other competitors, no more problems of tax barriers and quotas again today (Currently, commercial among WTO members accounts for 90% of world trade). That will strengthen economic potential through the promotion of export activities and attract foreign investment. Specifically: - Multi-Fiber Agreement provisions MFA abolition of import quotas by the quantity of textiles. - WTO rules abolish import quotas replaced by the number of tax on rice products. -WTO rules low tariffs for products using more labor. - To create an environment for fair competition in business between economic sectors. When joining the WTO and commitment to the principles of liberalization of trade among economic sectors, between domestic and foreign, Vietnam will have a stronger reform laws that are consistent with practices international joint. Thereby, creating a fair business environment and open to all economic sectors. - Vietnam's economy is less vulnerable or under attack by the acts of trade

protectionism or economic sanctions by other countries in case of economic disputes, commercial or political reasons certain market for goods from Vietnam will be expanded and more stable. And therefore, benefits from international trade will increase our own. - Liberalization of prices of agricultural products would benefit the national agricultural production. Protection of agricultural prices of developing countries will be reduced to further expanding agricultural markets in Vietnam. - Will reduce business costs for current services sector is the area most protected by the State. Consequently, competitiveness and quality of poor service and high prices. When joining the WTO, the monopoly of this sector will be abolished, forcing these firms to reform, reduce costs, improve service and lower prices, effective for the entire economy will grow more. - With the agreement of the investment measures related to trade (TRIMS) has added an international guarantee, to encourage foreign investment into Vietnam. Challenge Thus, the benefits of Vietnam's WTO accession is quite clear: "Vietnam can not protect themselves before the protection of other countries outside the WTO." But the WTO does not only bring economic benefits for themselves, but enterprises faced with the challenge:

- When joining the WTO, Vietnam must be granted most favored nation rules and regulations for national treatment to other member countries of the WTO, that is conducted to reduce tariffs and bind all tariff lines, while to dismantle non-tariff barriers within a certain time. Level of commitment to tax reduction depends on the outcome of multilateral and bilateral for specific items. So will be more intense competition in the domestic market. - The entire economic institutions must change to adapt to the rapid development of trade and investment relations, technology transfer, will be difficult if not before the strong competition, firms Vietnam will not be protected when trade disputes occur. - The challenges in the agricultural sector is even larger, by over 75% of the population still depend on agriculture, while the average cultivated area on a low labor, farming methods should prices of agricultural products will generally higher than the world price. When trade barriers are abolished or reduced, agricultural imports from developed countries with low pressure will cause the rural economy, many agribusiness units may go bankrupt. People will move to cities, exacerbating unemployment. - Currently, the structure of Vietnam's exports are mainly processed goods, we will not benefit from the WTO, as stipulated rules of origin for preferential treatment is the value of imported raw materials to producing goods in countries enjoying lower than 65%. It can be said joining WTO, Vietnam has received many benefits but also

face many challenges. But overall long-term benefits for the dominant national.
