A short Note The challenge to the indic civilization by the WEST Kosla Vepa

the Occident
We can be completely arbitrary but you the indic do not have the courage to challenge us on the infrastructure and the frame of reference . So that even when the Greeks trailed india by hundreds of years we were able to fool you into thinking that India had borrowed from Greece
N S Rajaram is undoubtedly one of a very small number of people of Indic origin who understands how to connect the dots of Ancient indic history He was one of the first ones to point out that the Sarasvati Sindhu civilization corresponded to the Sulva Sutra era of the classical period of Indian history namely the Vedic era;

THE DEFINITION OF THE CLASSICAL PERIOD IN INDIAN HISTORY

For some strange reason the Vedic era is treated in an astral(this is a word that the Occidental likes -if I may use one of the adjectives in vogue when describing India) manner he completely ignores the Vedic era in all periodizations . Instead the occidental has termed the Maurya/Gupta period as the classical era )(after moving the Gupta period forward by several hundred years . In contrast note how he defines his own classical period from Wikipedia

THE DEFINITION OF THE CLASSICAL PERIOD IN THE OCCIDENT

Classical antiquity (also the classical era or classical period) is a broad term for a long period of cultural history centered on the Mediterranean Sea, comprising the interlocking civilizations of ancient Greece and ancient Rome, collectively known as the Greco-Roman world. It is the period in which Greek and Roman society flourished and wielded great influence throughout Europe.

It is conventionally taken to begin with the earliest-recorded Greek poetry of Homer (8th7th century BC), and continues through the emergence of Christianity and the decline of the Roman Empire (5th century AD). It ends with the dissolution of classical culture at the close of Late Antiquity (AD 300600), blending into the Early Middle Ages (AD 6001000). Such a wide sampling of history and territory covers many disparate cultures and periods. "Classical antiquity" may refer also to an idealized vision among later people of what was, in Edgar Allan Poe's words, "the glory that was Greece, the grandeur that was Rome!"[1] The culture of the ancient Greeks, together with some influences from the ancient Orient, prevailed throughout classical antiquity as the basis of art,[2] philosophy, society, and educational ideals.[3] These ideals were preserved and imitatedin an outward sense, at leastby the Romans.[4] This GrecoRoman cultural foundation has been immensely influential on the language, politics, educational systems, philosophy, science, art, and architecture of the modern world: From the surviving fragments of classical antiquity, a revival movement was gradually formed from the 14th century onwards which came to be known later as the Renaissance in Western Europe, and again resurgent during various neo-classical revivals in the 18th and 19th centuries. Having defined his own classical period thusly ( by definition the classical period begins the beginning), he goes on to define the Indian classical period as that of the Maurya/Guptas, using a totally different version of what is a classical era . He proposes in the indic case that the classical period begins with the Maurya/Gupta period . You might say that whats in a name, that the difference is a mere bagatelle of a distinction between friends. Mais absolument non mon ami , Vielleicht ist das gilt zwischen Freunden, aber in der Instanz, wenn die Protagonistenin einem kolonialen Beziehung, die grundlegend ist kontradiktorisch sind, ist es sicherlich nicht eine Kleinigkeit, vor allem wenn Generationen von Indianern sind nicht bereit, diese Behauptung zu fordern Perhaps this is true between friends, but in the instance when the protagonists are in a colonial relationship that is fundamentally adversarial, it is certainly not a mere bagatelle, especially when generations of Indians have chosen not to challenge this assertion, it meant to convey the idea that the Indic civilization reached maturity much later than the Greek. If they had made a frontal assault on the antiquity, they would not have had much success but by sneaking it in thru the definition of the classic period they nearly

succeeded, but they had not counted on the indic still being alive and further that he would realize the significance of this1. But to what purpose ? When intelligent Indics do not choose to recognize the consequences of my questioning the motives of the Occidental of dating every date in Indian history after the golden age of Greece, I have clearly failed in my purpose and in my stated mission. it is not so much that i crave recognition for these seemingly innocuous but extremely important observations, but the total lack of recognition by others of the chockful of other significant conclusions in the origins has convinced me that Indic is not ready for putting on the mantle of maturity that is needed to win back his self respect from the west. , this will encourage those in the west who feel that i and handful of other obstreperous Indians can be ignored precisely because their original supposition that The Indic is a fractious individual and is much more comfortable squabbling with his own countrymen about petty matters of ideology than reaching for a vision for a new India. Make no mistake i am not talking about the presumably naive farmer but i am talking about Prof Dani of TIFR who was more interested in deflecting me from piublishing in his journal than in what i had written. I subsequently learnt from CK Raju that the Dani was negotiating with Kim Plofker to have her edit an entire issue and since I was less than complementary of David Pingree, he preferred to throw me to the wolves, rather than anger Plofker . Now Plofker is the same person who has refused to critique my book presumably because she has no way of winning a debate with me not because i equate myself to an Einstein but because the truth is on my side, and she knows i am right . The inability or unwillingness to challenge the occidental bespeaks a lack of courage and will prove to be almost the certain undoing of the indic civilization and unless the indic makes a large scale national effort to rid himself of these qualities his civilization is doomed. There are a couple more, but there is no use listing them unless there is a national consensus on this point.

1I use the above instance to see what would be the reaction of the academic elite in

India would be to this revelation on the classical period of India. My guess is he will completely ignore me. We will see what happens.
