As part of this review, Mr. Rowland has indicated that he is willing to meet with a small number of parents to discuss their thoughts about the school and to help determine a direction for the future. If you are willing to meet with Mr. Rowland for either an individual or small group session could you please give me a call. Mr. Rowland will be at Boort on Wednesday 2nd May, Friday 4th May, Monday 7th May, Tuesday 8th May and Friday 10th May. Her work will assist staff and students with the Ultranet particularly focussing on the development of online learning tasks. Anzac Services Thank you to students who participated in the services at Malone Street and King Street. Student involvement in these services is always a highlight and I thank the students who participated in such a respectful and confident manner. I would like to thank Mr. Alan Streader for playing the bugle at both venues. We are

fortunate to have Mr. Streader in our community.

Parent/Teacher Interviews Malone Street campus I would like to thank the many parents who took the opportunity to discuss their childs progress with teachers. The partnership between parents, staff and students is vitally important to long term success. Processes like Parent/Teacher interviews are so important in developing and sustaining a positive relationship. If for any reason you were unable to attend, teachers are more than willing to make alternative times.

ANZAC Service On Tuesday, the Grade 4 students presented a very informative ANZAC service. It was pleasing to witness the reverence with which the students remember the ANZACS. The students are to be congratulated on the way they conducted the service. Thank you to Megan Turnbull for helping the students organise the service and to Ros Lanyon for helping the students with the wreath. We are grateful to Mr Alan Streader for playing the bugle at the service. Mr Streader has willingly given up his time for a number of years to participate in the King Street ANZAC service. A big thank you to the students that helped sweep, shift chairs and set up for the service when it started to rain. Cultural Performance On Tuesday 1st May the Cultural Performance A Slice of Vaudeville, will be performing at King Street. The students are looking forward to the performance. It is a wonderful opportunity for the students. The performance payment is part of the compulsory fee, paid by parents. Student Emergency Information- It is imperative that all student information is kept up to date. Please remember to ensure contact people and phone numbers (including mobiles) are still current.

Head Lice There have been incidents of head lice reported to the school, since the holidays. Could all parents please be vigilant about checking hair on a weekly basis? Using conditioner and a fine tooth comb will allow the live lice and nits to be removed. Thank you to the parents who are vigilant about checking their childs hair weekly; however we need commitment from all parents to complete a checking and treatment process. Please contact me if you require any help or information. Fun Run On Wednesday, 9th May, King Street students will be participating in a Fun Run, in conjunction with Malone Street students, beginning at 12 oclock. The actual run will start and finish at the King St basketball court, run along the dirt road bordering the cow patch, coming up King Street (near the fire station). King Street students will not be seeking sponsorship for this activity. All students will be participating in training sessions during the next few weeks in preparation for the event. The best explaining people who I went with were Tim and Jordan. Zac Poxon On the 19/4/12 the grade five and six came back to King Street campus, to read out their Journals to the grade 3/4. It was awesome to have the grade 5/6s back! They said some pretty good things about their first two weeks at the new school in Malone Street campus.
