1.i). There is no completely right or wrong answer to this problem, but a a peer-to-peer network is suggested.

Because there are only three instructors demanding in the entire company at present and the company is not experiencing growth. Additionally, some of the information that will be sent over the network is not confidential. It is better to invest in a peer-to-peer network that growth will render obsolete in a year or two. With regard to network topology there is no single correct answer. The most commonly installed networks currently are the star bus and the bus. A bus seems to be the best choice because of the ease of troubleshooting and reconfiguration. Besides, a bus network might be chosen for its low cost or ease of installation. ii).client server is recommended because the organization has the plan to expand and moderate budget has been allocated. For a small network (5-10 users), a bus is usually economical to install initially but may be expensive to maintain because troubleshooting and reconfiguring take time. However, on a larger network (20 or more users), installing a star bus may cost more initially than installing a bus, owing to the cost of the equipment (a hub); but a star bus will be significantly less expensive to maintain in the long run and the organization has a budget to cover this at hand initially. 2. A).the most likely problem of this network is a cable break of the individual user. Because there is no problem reported by other member (user) of the company .besides the computer has worked by changing an other cable. Therefore, what I will do to fix this problem is to replace the network cable by similar cable currently installed in the organization which minimizes installation and maintenance costs and familiar to the network administrators as well as hardware and software requirement of the company. B).the most likely problems are either the power of the switch (other network hardware) is switched off or the files of the organization are not shared resources to the public setting. As a solution the members should meet their network administrator to check whether the files are protected as private and again check the power of the switch.

C). If they encounter problems when she try to connect to the LAN and access shared network resources server, the problems could be One of the common problems is permission. If she has setup correctly, and even used the same ID and password of the accessed computer to logon, and she is still unable to access the computer, try to enable the guest account (enable guest account is risky) or even enable simple file sharing. Another common problem is name resolution. If she can ping IP but not computer name, this may be a NetBIOS issue. She may try to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP if she don't have WINS server. For some reasons, she just can't ping the computer name even she enable the NetBIOS over TCP/IP, she may try to install NetBEUI. If she can't see other computers but she can map the other computers' shared folder using UNC (\\computername\sharedfolder), this may be master browser issue. She may want to disable master browser in a small mixed OS workgroup network. Finally, running the network wizard using the setup-disks may create some potential networking problems. As a solution Check the router settings and make sure MAC Address Control doesn't deny that computer. If one networking computer user has a difficulty to communicate with other computers make sure that she has setup the common workgroup, protocol, logon IDs, enabled the file and printer sharing, and setup necessary permission for the user accessing.

3. The pan will have a difficulty when there is IP address conflict. Therefore, for those networks where IP addresses are fixed (statically assigned), ensure each local host is configured with a unique IP address could be taken as solution. 4.
