The National Service Training Program or NSTP is a program of the government wherein students are required to enroll at least

one program of it in order to graduate. This was embodied in Republic Act 9163 of the Philippines, known as the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001. This program is to: promote civic consciousness among youth; develop the youths physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being; inculcate in the youth patriotism and nationalism; and advance the youths involvement in public and civic affairs. The program promotes civic consciousness to the students to become familiar to all disasters or problem of the community. But for us, we became more conscious about what is happening to our nation. We became active and appreciative in all the things that a person alone can do for our country. Also, this will develop the youths physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being of oneself. Physical because it develops the strength of the person and become physically fit specially in times of disaster. Moral, because it develops the values of the students wherein they improve themselves to become a true person. Spiritual, because teaches as to create an extraordinary bond with God and also it is a way where we can deliver the gospels of God. Intellectual, because it improves the way we think about things around us. And social well-being, because it develops or improves the way we can connect or interact to other people. Inculcating in the youth patriotism and nationalism is a way of promoting the respect and treasure our countries remaining wonders. Patriotism is like how we patronize our own country and Nationalism is like how we value our blood being a Filipino. In times of disaster, the National Service Training Program teaches us to be ready in times of Disaster and need of our country during typhoons or storm. It teaches us, the youth, the basic application during in times of earthquakes and other form of disaster. And also teaches us to know how to apply first aid and other prevention that may cause death or severe bleeding. Involving us with a disaster relief program is that, we can simply help others. Volunteerism is the act involving wide range of activities. We, as part in NSTP, we involve ourselves in volunteering programs where we help with anything in return. Like what we did in Tondo. We help the children by teaching them how to use computer so that they can cope up with the upcoming generations. And also, we taught them how to use the internet, how to browse it and use it as a tool to study and gather more information. The Republic Act 8491, Flag and Heraldic Codes of the Philippines, in here it is stated that we need to study the proper ways how to respect or flag and country. In this Republic Act, we are expected to know it because we are the role models of the next generations. Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 states that using, transporting, or selling drugs without permit is automatically illegal and that is prohibited to our country. Selling drugs or any of the following actions may be sentenced to imprisonment. And involving this to NSTP is that we are required to avoid these actions simply because we are still young and suppose to the models of the ones thats younger than us. And also, we expected to teach the youth to avoid these actions for their own sake and be a better and more humane to all. In this action, it shows and explains how we can prevent this form of

actions and be able to know better in preventing the youth to be addictive and lessen the rate of drug abusers in the Philippines. Environment is one of the things that we should protect and treasure not only for us but also for the next generations. It is one of the essential things we need because the environment is where we grow or this is a way to live healthy as possible. A healthy environment can help us to become healthy emotionally, physically, and mentally. Connecting this to NSTP, we are taught of how can take care of the remaining environment. In the National Service Training Program, it teaches us to be aware of everything in our surroundings. To take care what God had given us. It promotes unity to make this place better for all us. Not only the volunteers are doing this but also we can do something to prevents global warmings and other future disasters. We can share great ideas to help one another and also ideas for our environment.
