Siemon Fiber Optic Splicing Products

ULTRAsplice
The patented ULTRAsplice is a high performance, cost effective, mechanical fiber optic splice that is reusable and easy to install for emergency or permanent installations. The splice features a patented glass capillary alignment tube, pre-loaded with index matching gel, to allow inspection of fiber location during installation. Additionally, the collet locking nuts allow users to adjust and secure the fiber for optimum alignment and retention.

The ULTRAsplice mechanical splices are fully compatible with Siemon fiber splice trays

The glass capillary allows inspection of fiber mis-alignments. Using the Visual Fault Locator (P/N: FT-VFL), a light will amplify the fiber misalignment point and allow the user to fine tune the splice

The Visual Fault Locator assists in properly aligning fibers when performing mechanical splices (P/N: FT-VFL)

When fibers are properly aligned, no light will be visible. This feature allows the installer to obtain a low loss splice quickly and efficiently

ULTRAsleeve and MASSsleeve

The patented ULTRAsleeve and MASSsleeve are cost effective, fiber fusion splice protectors. The sleeves are easy to install and require no heat shrink, curing, crimping or gluing, which reduce installation time and cost. The ULTRAsleeve fusion splice protector can accept a range of fiber buffer sizes 250-900 microns for a single fiber or up to a 4 fused ribbon fiber. The MASSsleeve fusion splice protector can accept 2-12 fused ribbon fiber. The ULTRAsleeve and MASSsleeve are manufactured with an acrylic foam tape to seal against environmental conditions and improve long term splice reliability. The impact resistant plastic housing has two sections that fold along a hinge. They are delivered in an open position, ready to accept the fused fiber simply load the fused fiber and close the sleeve. This process secures the protector and compresses the acrylic foam providing a hermetic seal to protect the fused fiber.

MASSsleeve closing tool is required to insure proper installation. The tools soft form holder and alignment pins assure accurate alignment every time

ULTRAsleeve splice protectors can be closed by hand, but when installing large quantities of ULTRAsleeve protectors, this closing tool is invaluable

Fiber Splice Trays

Our assortment of aluminum, fiber splice trays secure, manage and protect most common fusion or mechanical splices. The standard tray holds up to 24 splices. For tight areas, a mini-tray is available which accommodates up to 6 splices. The trays can be stacked for high-density applications and provide adequate space for bend radius protection for the full range of singlemode and multimode fiber.
