There is a black substance, a foundation upon which fortunes are made and nations born, a substance that both

powers our world ands destroys it: Oil [show balloon] The Unfortunate Problem with the oil industry is that while the demand for there product is increasing, the supply is decreasing rapidly due to over-use, unrest and war with most natural resources that would not be a problem but oil takes millions of years to form and the fact is we are depleting it fast. In 2009 New Zealanders used 9 billion Litres of crude oil and with the world only having 42 years worth of fuel left, the world need to think about changing how we use oil because if we dont act now we are sunk literally, we may die in an oil related world war fought by China and America to gain complete control over all major oil fields that remain. [Pop] Scientists also tell us the sea levels are slowly rising, its caused by CO2 which is produced by the oil using internal combustion engine. All this posses a question to humanity, one that scientists and inventers have pondered for years: what do we do to remove oil from life without destroying everything we as humanity have worked for? When our source of fuel is slowly running out, strangling human progress? There is an answer, something so simple but yet so complicated it has taken decades to reach the point where it is possible, what is it and how does it work? Dihydrogen Oxide, Water, plain pure perfect water. How will water save the world? When in fact its part of the problem, simple so simple in fact it involves only one molecule: Hydrogen, the simplest element known to man made up of only one proton and one electron. With this it is possible to change the world. Hydrogen the way forward Hydrogen is an ideal fuel source because it contains 3 times as much energy per L than Petrol, its only by-product of combustion is water and that it can be produce with no CO2 emissions using totally clean nuclear energy. Hydrogen the way forward

Unfortunately there are some major hurdles that hydrogen energy has to being a full time production: Firstly is that while oil companys are making record profits, they refuse to spend that money developing new, clean and efficient technology. Last year BP made a profit of 138.4 billion USD [show money] and spent only 1 Billion USD [drop all but 1billion] on developing new sustainable technology. Guess why they do not see the way forward? The Second Problem is that of storing volatile hydrogen. No one wants a hydrogen car if they explode all the time. Scientists are trying to develop ways of storing hydrogen using exotic compounds to render the gas into a solid that is safe to transport but still can be used to produce a form of energy. But even when faced with such problems, because of our greed and wasteful use of oil we can now be resourceful and use an innovative fuel like hydrogen.
