Step 01: Open the DHCP MMC Snap where the Microsoft DHCP Server is configured (Start AdministrativeTools DHCP.

    Step02:RightclickontheServerNameandClickonDefineVendorClasses.Asimilarscreenisshown below.

    Step03:TheDHCPVendorClassesScreenappears.ClickonAddandTypetheValuesasshowninthe followingScreen.

    ClickUnderASCIItoentertheCiscoAPc1240string.OncecompletedClickonOK.Thecompleted screenwilllooklikethefollowingscreen.

    Step04:NowagainRightclickontheServerNameandClickonSetPredefinedOptionasshown below:

    Step05:SelecttheOptionClassasCisco1240SeriesAPandClickonAdd.Ascreensimilartothe followingshouldappear.EntertheValuesasshownintheScreen.ClickOktofinish.

    TheCompletedScreenshouldlooksimilartothefollowingscreen.ClickOktoProceedtoNextStep.

    Step06:NowRightontheScopeOptionstoaddthenewlycreatedvalue.Asimilarscreenisshown below.

    ClickonAdvancedonthescreenshown.Ascreensimilartothefollowingappears.EntertheValuesas showninthescreen.

    ClickOKafterenteringalltherequiredvalues.Thecompletedshouldlooklikethefollowingandshould showtheOption43.

Notes: TheFastEthernetinterfacemustbeconnectedtotheLocalLANwheretheAPisconnected. TheIP172.121.121.121isthesampleManagementIPAddressconfiguredontheWirelessLAN Controller. TheUDP12223isthePortusedbyLWAPPBroadcast.
