Planned and implemented a 30-minute lesson demonstrating B. Kumaravadivelus Teaching Macrostrategy Maximizing Learning Opportunities to a graduate level class, wrote a reflection on the experience and received peer and professor feedback on performance September- December 2011

Curriculum Design Course, Monterey Institute

Designed an 8-week ESL course for workers in the hospitality industry. Implemented a needs analysis from both the perspective of the resort and of the workers. September- December 2011

Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Santa Barbara, CA January 2008- January 2009 Vice President of Membership Development Created and organized events for 100 people. Events were 4-5 times a quarter for an entire academic year. Responsible for logistics for venue, food, transportation, and entertainment. Successfully developed healthy relationships within the sorority and kept social events balanced between classes, club memberships and other responsibilities. Solicited support and contribution from co-leaders for philanthropic events. UCSB Campus Ministry, New Orleans, LA March 2007 Short-term mission trip with student organization Participated in a service trip to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina in the 9th ward Tore down two houses and rid all debris and personal belongings from two familys homes.
