Introduction
CottonConnect is an innovative business with a social purpose: working with retailers and brands to make the worlds cotton supply chains more sustainable. We aim to transform the worlds cotton supply chains by partnering with brands and retailers to work sustainability through their cotton value chains from farm to finished garment. CottonConnect works with a wide range of organisations active in the sustainable cotton space - creating momentum for change through strategic partnerships to maximise social and environmental impact across the world. CottonConnects mission is to transform the worlds cotton for good. Our mission is central to everything we do. Our vision is to help reduce poverty and enhance the environment by supporting the creation and development of sustainable cotton value chains, and to become the leading provider of sustainable value chain development services. These Business Principles govern how CottonConnect conducts its activities. We promote these Business Principles to our partners. CottonConnect staff share a set of core values integrity, fairness and respect for people. We also firmly believe in the fundamental importance of trust, openness, teamwork, professionalism and pride in what we do.

Integrity & fairness We operate on principles of honesty, integrity and fairness in all our activities and insist on the same in our relationships with those we work with. Our Principles
Sustainable Development We commit to contribute to sustainable development, valuing and respecting all people and the environment in which we operate. We aim to maximise our returns in relation to the pursuit of our company mission; helping reduce poverty and enhance the environment. Integrity We believe in maintaining the highest standards of integrity, honesty and fairness in everything we do, and expect the same in our relationships with all those with whom we work. The direct or indirect offer, payment, soliciting and acceptance of bribes in any form is unacceptable. Staff must avoid conflicts of interest between their private financial activities and their part in the conduct of CottonConnects activities. Staff must also declare to CottonConnect any potential conflicts of interest. All of CottonConnects financial transactions must be reflected accurately and fairly in our accounts in accordance with established procedures. We believe in fair pay, good employment practices and equal opportunity for all. Creativity and Fun We are passionate about our vision and will work creatively to achieve success while having fun on the way! Deliver quality services We will deliver professional services which exceed our customer and beneficiaries expectations. Compliance We will comply with all laws and regulations applicable to us. Political Activity We act in a socially responsible manner within the laws of countries in which we operate in pursuit of our companys mission. We do not make payments to political parties, organisations or their representatives. We do not take part in party politics. When dealing with governments and opposition parties we do have the right and responsibility to make our position known on any matters which affect our company objectives, our staff or the people impacted by our work, in a manner which is in accordance with our values and these Business Principles. Where staff wish to

engage in activities in the community, including standing for election to public office, they will be given the opportunity to do so where this is appropriate in the light of local circumstances. Health, Safety and the Environment We will only support activities that can demonstrate, as a minimum, compliance with relevant national Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and standards. Communication, Engagement and Assurance We recognise regular dialogue and engagement with our customers and stakeholders is essential to the development, implementation and ultimate success of our activities. CottonConnect is committed to monitoring and reporting its activities and performance.
