Western Operations / Continuous Improvement Manager Responsible for all aspects (except sales) of a stamping, forging, welding, assembly and rollforming operation in Clearfield, UT and a polyester resin batching operation in Grand Junction, CO. In 2011 I was given the additional duties of CI manager for 8 facilities in N. America. I hired a Op Mgr for Grand Junction and was no longer responsible for that operation. Improved on time delivery (DIFOT) from 85 to 97% Reduced downtime through autonomous / preventive maintenance Initiated and implemented 5S and OEE in 8 facilities.

Identified, purchased, designed machine layout, and installed all equipment for what is now a $20million/yr (sales) metal stamping, rollforming, welding, and forging manufacturing facility. Set up quality, safety, preventive maintenance, and production systems. Schedule production and deliveries. Determine product cost and quote non-contract items. Direct maintenance department and troubleshoot. 1989 1991 C.O.C. Industries Mounds View, Plant Manager Responsible for all phases of operation of $2 million/yr rollforming plant. Moved plant from negative to positive bottom line through steel purchasing, maintenance program, inventory control, and personal management. Improved product reputation through strict quality control. (Plant purchased by Award Metals.) 1984 1989 United States Gypsum Santa Fe Springs, CA -1987 1989 Metal Plant Superintendent 3 shift 7 day metal stud manufacturing facility. 52 employees -1985 1987 Maintenance Foreman Responsible for mechanical operation of rollforming, slitting and a large bulk powder batching (joint treatment) operation.
