What is the major difference between the two products? The HMCP is designed to provide short circuit (magnetic) protection and a disconnect for a motor circuit. It is designed to be used with a contactor (to start/stop the motor) and an overload relay (to protect from over current) The MPCB is designed to provide short circuit (magnetic) protection, a disconnect and OVERLOAD RELAY protection all in one device.
