Key changes to data

Introduction of new standard product area list (UNSPSC = United Nations Standard Products and Services Code) may result in empty product area fields, so suppliers will have to complete this again.

Risk assessment scores and ratings will change as a result of improved risk assessment tool. Incomplete site profile fields and SAQ questions will result in higher risk ratings for suppliers

Why change is necessary

Improved SAQ structure and content tailored to industry sectors (e.g. Agents/brokers, Service Providers, Agriculture)
Shorter, more concise SAQ will reduce the burden on suppliers while retaining key questions Introduction of standard UN and ISO lists for consistency and to ensure that Sedex follows internationally accepted standards

Why change is necessary

New RAT will provide more robust risk assessments, improve user friendliness and introduce new comparison and benchmarking functionality.
Expansion of RAT enabling members to run risk assessments on an extended range of data and include all 4 pillars of the Sedex SAQ

Managing the change

Encourage your suppliers to review their accounts and complete their new SAQ soon after launch
Consider / review rollout to suppliers leading up to the launch

Understand how the change will impact your reporting

Make use of the old data in the copied system for comparisons (SAQ and RA) Prepare resources/communication to advise suppliers to update their information post launch Consider using both systems (old and new) for your end of year reporting e.g. SAQ/Risk from old and Audit from new.
