Alumni Information system

The system entitled Alumni Information System is a web application software which attempts in providing a forum for its alumni to recall their acquaintance with the institution which nurtured them through their academic life. It is also a forum to develop a life-long friendship between the alumnae and the present students of the University. The Alumni Information System brings classmates together by providing one place where they can exchange information and ideas and stay connected with each other and with their University. All of the information can be added or updated by the alumni through secure pages. It has been designed and developed by using Microsoft Visual Basic.Net as Front-End tool and MS SQL Server as back-end tool. Any educational institution touches new realms (area) of fame and glory because of the alumnae who diverge from the portals of their alma mater to carve a niche for themselves in different parts of the world. The project consists of Seven modules namely Login screen, Alumni Profile, Alumni Search, Alumni Calendar, Alumni Event details with Photo uploading facilities, Social Support by Alumni members and finally Alumni notes. This project is mainly developed to overcome the drawbacks of the existing system which is partially automated.

ALUMNI INFORMATION SYSTEM The Alumni Builder brings classmates together by providing one place where they can exchange information and ideas and stay connected with each other and with their University. All of the information can be added or updated by the alumni through secure pages. Features:

Secure Login blocks sensitive alumni information from others. Profile Change Reports allow schools to keep track of the personal information (address, phone, etc.) that alumni can update. This data is exportable to other programs. Alumni Class Page is a directory of alumni names by class year with links to individual profiles and email addresses. Alumni Profile is controlled by individual users and displays only the information that he/she wants displayed. Alumni Search allows users to search by name, class, occupation, address, etc. Alumni Forum offers alumni a way to stay in touch with classmates and friends from other graduation years. Missing Alumni Page helps university reconnect with graduates whose personal information is outdated. Alumni Calendar helps alumni to view their alumni meets dates and events related to them. Social Support by Alumni members help their community in case of any emergency need of bloods, financial supports to their juniors. Alumni Notes allows classmates to communicate by posting on a notes page.
