INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES Candidates appearing for the GITAM University examinations are required to strictly observe the following

instructions 1. Candidates with valid identity cards and hall-ticket only will be permitted in to the examination hall. They should not write any matter on the hallticket/ identity card/calculator 2. Candidates shall be not be admitted into the examination hall after 30 minutes of the commencement of the examination and will not be allowed to leave the examination hall in the last ten minutes of the examination 3. Candidates should carefully fill the relevant columns of Registration No., Examination, Subject etc. in the space provided on the front page of the answer book and no where else on the answer book 4. Candidates should note that no additional answer books are provided 5. Candidates shall write answers on both sides of the page. 6. Question numbers must be mentioned in the left hand margin only and Rough work must be done on the right margins of the page. 7. Use only blue/black ball or ink pen for writing answers. Changes in the shade of the ink during examination has to be got attested by the invigilator 8. Handover the answer book to the Invigilator before leaving the examination hall 9. Candidates should not write any matter, identification mark, appeal, symbol etc. unrelated to the examination anywhere on the answer book. Violation is treated as malpractice and liable for disciplinary action 10. Candidates are prohibited from carrying books, notes, slips, reference material. log tables, scribbling pads, cell phones, programmable calculators, electronic and audio devices etc., 11. Candidates shall be provided with drinking water in the examination hall; no other beverages are permitted 12. Any of the actions mentioned below come under malpractice and liable for disciplinary action and they shall not be permitted to continue the examination a) being in possession of any printed or written material related to the examination b) copying from others material or helping others in copying c) communicating with any person within or outside the examination hall d) making any representation/inducement/threat to the invigilator for favors during the examination e) smuggling in or out blank or written answer scripts, or willful damage to the answer script f) impersonation of any kind g) unruly behavior in the examination hall or premises h)legal suits against the GITAM university, if any, shall be filed in courts within the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam city only
