ABSTRACT This project is about a paper manufacturing firm. Which create computer stationary items including cash memo, fax and ATM machine rolls. Also receipt of different firms. This manufacturing company founded in 1978.And work with its 40 to 50employees in the organization. We apply the manufacturing process of this firm on our project. According to the need then analyze it. We also make a network Diagram and we find the critical path of the process. We also find the slack (LS-ES) activity in this project.

2. Overview Introduction and Back ground:

Waco International is basically a paper manufacturing and trading firm which was founded in the mid 70s, Waco international has grown to become one of the leading computer related company in Pakistan. And provide its services and products almost all over the Pakistan with its three main branches in three cities; Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad their coverage is national and not confined to any one city. They are the authorized distributors of the following companies in Pakistan: 1. Verbatim 2. Geha/primo 3. Logitech 4. Hsm 5. HP 6. Imation 7. Niko 8. Mitsubishi 9. Mpio 10. Saitek 11. Rock fire We also have a full fledged printing facility. We specialize in the manufacture computer forms, continuous computer and all forms of printed computer stationary. In addition we also deal in shredders, paper cutters, computer accessories, multimedia products, ribbons, ink cartridges/toners, printing consumables, joysticks/joy pads, storage media and computer hardware.

Waco is an international paper manufacturing firm which creates computer stationary items. Including Credit rolls of ATM machines and Fax, cash memo different kind of cash receipt for different organisations.They import their raw material internationally from Asia and Europe. 8. Types of paper manufactured by Waco International:

1. NCR (No carbon required): Carbonless copy paper (CCP), non-carbon copy paper, or NCR paper is an alternative to carbon paper used to make a copy of an original, handwritten (or mechanically typed) document without the use of any electronics. 2. Carbon Paper: Its a paper coated on one side with a layer of a loosely bound dry ink or pigmented coating usually bound with wax. It is used for making one or more copies simultaneous with the creation of an original document. Manufacturing of carbon paper was formerly the largest consumer of montan wax. 3. Thermal Paper Its is a special fine paper that is impregnated with a chemical that changes color when exposed to heat. It is used in thermal printers and particularly in cheap, lightweight devices such as adding machines, cash registers, and credit card terminals. 4. Sticker paper: Its also manufacture a sticker paper which include different companies logos etc.

9. Manufacturing Process:
The Firm Imported Raw material in the Form of paper roll after that one roll paper set into Machine from where the paper print in different design after that the machine do hole in paper roll and folding them automatically. In last the labor packed it. During the process many times due to printing and design error the roll take additional time to complete the whole process. The one packet contains almost 2000thousand paper. But sometime due to 200 to 300 pages are contain error due to the firm face difficulty. The 1Roll of paper take average 45 to 50mins to transform into raw material to finish good products. The whole process can also be shown by the diagram.

CRITICAL PATH: A-B-C-E-F= 38 Mins A-D-E-F =29 Mins The critical path is [A-B-C-E-F= 38 Mins].Now we conclude that the sequence of activities between a project start and finish that is 38 mins to complete. ACTIVITY SLACK [LS-ES]: Now we calculate the activity slack.

11. RECOMMADATIONS: To save product from printing and design error they should diagnose the printing machine before each roll settle in the machine To remove paper defect in the final packets of product. Company should contain more than 2000 thousand papers in one product. For example if 1packet contain 2000papers then they must contain their 2200 to 2400 to remove the paper defects. Waco international is facing shortage of raw materials; they should buy enough raw materials as required.

12. CONCLUSION: Waco International is one of the market leaders in producing Trading and all other stuffs of computer stationary items. In Pakistan there are other competitors of Waco international. They are facing their competitors through the best quality and through the combination of latest technology and skills. The name Waco international is still popular/famous with quality, innovation and reliability, not just in Pakistan but abroad over the world. For sustaining the competitive edge they are focusing on their operations and production management that are mentioned above in operations section. For the manufacturing firm its very important to concentrate and carefully take decisions which strongly effect the operations and production of the firm. Finally we concluded The WACO International manufactures its product according to the need of its customers.
