Other milestone leadership tours include serving as Executive Ofcer at the Naval Atlantic METOC Facility, Jacksonville, Fla.; and as Executive Ofcer at Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center in Monterey, Calif. He also served on the staff of the Oceanographer of the Navy (CNO NO96) in Washington, D.C.

His early military data gathering experiences ranged from collecting bathymetry, oceanography and geophysical data from the Atlantic (both north and south), Belize, the Mediterranean and a signicant amount of the SW & NW approaches, serving in HM Ships BEAGLE, HECATE, ROEBUCK and HERALD. After a short assignment serving with the Defence Maritime Geospatial Intelligence Centre at UKHO as the Customer Relations Manager to defence users, he has recently re-joined the MOD to lead Joint Geospatial Intelligence assuming the role of Deputy Head JGI in December 2011.
