This interactive game was developed by the
ASEAN Foundation to promote ASEAN to the
younger generation. The game begins with a
video showing the ASEAN region hit by a ferce
storm that has knocked out major power plants
in the region. In response, the ASEAN leaders
ask the game players to help solve the problem
by setting up a power plant and an energy grid
connecting different power plants located in
different countries.
The player will fnd information about ASEAN
countries such as their national anthems, fags,
leaders, and landmarks in stunning 3D graphics.
Information on the various types of power
sources from wind power to hydro power and
nuclear power plants is available. Before the
power plant can be built, the player has to fnish
three mini games that are educational yet fun to
play.

In 2009, APCEIU made a fash game as part of
the Development of EIU E-learning Contents
Project. The fash game consists of listening
to music sources of the six countries including
China and Indonesia, and the appearances of
each unique instrument are shown in the display
screen to play and perform melodies. Anyone
can enjoy the fash game with only simple
mouse movements. The game can be used as an
educational tool for teachers and young students
who wish to learn about Asian cultures.

Containing precise steps to raise awareness
of human rights in any community, it further

music video-a street-savvy, multiethnic, fve-
minute flm conveying the power of human
rights awareness. Also included is the What Are

Ooh!! is a card game which helps one to learn
about the rich cultures and heritage of Southeast
Asia. Designed for children aged ten and above,
the 64 illustrated cards contain quizzes and
information on theatre, music, art, history and
geography.
The game was co-produced by the Asia-
Pacifc Centre of Education for International
Understanding (APCEIU), under the auspices of
UNESCO, and SEAMEO SPAFA.
Focussed on the arts, culture and general
knowledge, the card game is part of the effort
in promoting Education for International
Understanding (EIU) towards a culture of peace
in Asia-Pacifc.
Both APCEIU and SPAFA continue to be
engaged in developing educational materials and
programmes in various languages of the region.
