Phase 2
DESCRIPTION
This addition on the east side of the existing Dennis DeConcini Environment and Natural Resources Building will further interdisciplinary research in earth, environmental, natural resources, atmospheric, mathematical, and related sciences. The building will primarily provide faculty offices, conferencing and support spaces with some related research and instructional dry laboratory and work space. A large classroom addition will meet the UA's critical need to teach an increasing number of students with decreasing State funding for faculty support.

Residence Life Building Renewal Phase III


DESCRIPTION
This project will extend the useful life of aging residential facilities and reduce the risk of potentially disruptive system failures that would affect both the health and safety of the occupants at Cochise Residence Hall by replacing the fire sprinkler systems, and Coronado Residence Hall by replacing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and renovating bathrooms.

Health Sciences Education Building

Solar Energy Initiatives


DESCRIPTION
A solar energy initiative is underway that is being facilitated through the University's partnership with APS Energy Services to advance solar technology awareness on campus and throughout the community. Through this initiative solar installations are planned for Second Street Garage, Student Recreation Center, McClelland Hall, McClelland Park, and Hillenbrand Aquatic Center. In addition a PV/Solar Thermal System will be installed at Villa del Puente and funded through a Tucson Electric Power/Federal agreement.

The University of Arizona Police Department will be installing new radio equipment as part of an initiative to provide inter-operability of communications among law enforcement entities throughout Pima County.
