Tell us about a situation when you had to balance conflicting demands on your time.

How did you go about this?

During my everyday job environment, I come across situations with conflicting demands on time regularly. As a clerical officer I have to undertake a series of duties involving proper communication flow within and outside organization, management of record keeping and assisting other member of staffs with the administrative needs. To point out a situation in particular, during my initial phase of the job role, I was assigned an additional job of documenting old archives before 90s in addition to the above duties. I was given a certain amount of time to finish the job and report on it. It seemed to be overwhelming at one point of time as the application flow to the department increased at a high rate. I stopped my work at that point and made a timetable by scheduling and categorizing my work. Then, I met with my manager to get permission for implementing my plan. He was happy with my plan and gave me the green signal to go forward. Thus, I managed my conflicting demands of time through proper organizing.

Tell us about a situation (using a different example from above question) when you have exerted influence to alter views, work or activities of an individual or group? Whilst at University, I took the initiative in choosing and planning topics for team assignments. As my colleagues were from different backgrounds and Nationality, it was always been a challenge of selection of topic suitable for all team members. My friendly attitude with a smile had helped getting me closer to all the colleagues and understands them properly. This helped me in taking decision, which is suitable for all members of team where each member can play a definite role. This initiative mentality and well supportive attitude had put me in the role of team leader many a times. Because of this I used to get feedbacks from my colleagues about how much confidence and trust they get in working along the other members in my team.

I am a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a Finance background looking for a career development in the line of my study. I believe it will be a lifetime opportunity

to be part of one of worlds prestigious organisation like NHS. My skills, knowledge and experience, which is developed through over the years are well suited for the job role. Doing a Masters in Finance from LJMU has given me a proper understanding and knowledge on Accounts and Finance on Corporate and International level. I am a very good team player and can work individually. Moreover, the organisation skills, which I developed through these years, will help me undertake any job roles passionately, positively and productively. The familiarity with the office environment and eagerness to learn more will help me achieve my goal of golden standards. By undertaking Certification on ECDL and SAGE Accounts package I sharpened my IT skills. MBA studies with LJMU have helped me develop good managerial and leadership skill. My Mathematical mind set will be an added advantage to the finance job role.

At school levels become topper in Discus throw and Javelin throw, also become topper on and off in running races. Cricket and badminton were the favourite pass time fun at that age level. I have held the post of umpire and Captain occasionally while being a good batsman at most of the time in cricket. During my teen age time, started liking the indoor games like chess and have won local competitions. Other hobbies include reading novels stories, which include thrillers, romance and fiction. Also, participated in debates on topics of politics, environment, technology and climate. Music, movies and computer games were my favourite pass times. I liked collecting coins and stamps of different nations and playing dumbsherads. Making friends and involving in adventurous activities always triggered my passion. Travelling is one of the favorite pass times which i always liked. Cricket helped me gain an essence of leadership quality, keen observation skills and decision making ability. My reading habit helped me gain knowledge on vast subjects, which in turn helped me in my education and the practical outlook to the world in a more sensible way. travelling helped me gain knowledge of different culture, habits, languages and approach to people. I also like playing scrabbles and sudoku both helped me gain good concentration and vocabulary in language.

As a clerical officer, my duties involved ensuring proper communication flow within and outside the organization, management of records and assisting other members of staff with the administrative needs. To point out a situation in particular, during my initial phase of job role, I was assigned with an additional task of documenting the twenty year old archives in to electronic format. For that, I was given a certain amount of time to finish and report. But, it seemed to be overwhelming at one point of time during my job when new duties alongside the increased application flow resulted due to new recruitments. I decided to stop my work at that point of time and planned a strategy to finish the work after discussing with other member staffs. As a result, a timetable was drafted on a timely manner and consulted the manager for approval. He was happy with the plan and gave us the green signal to go forward resulting in finishing all works in the stipulated time period. Thus, I successfully managed my demand of time through good planning, organizing, communicating and perfect implementation.
