A great singer sung if you catch hell dont hold it, and if you are going through hell

dont stop The man is Ron Kenoly. Growing up he was the most celebrated artist in my house, and listening to his music was a daily ritual. My father so loved this man, that anytime we had a guest from the U.S.A visiting he would ask them if they knew Ron Kenoly. And if their answer was no, then, he would go through the motions of first exclaiming, expressing disbelief and then finally putting on a video of his concert. #crude So anyway I loved that song as a child. However, despite knowing the lyrics I only had a revelation about its meaning thirteen years later when I heard the following words Jesus is the Alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the A and the Z, The author and finisheretc. But what happens between the B and the Y? What happens in pages of our life since we know that Jesus forms the coverslol! When one dies, the epitaph reads sunrise 19xx sunset 20xx But they barely cover the dash in between which is the fundamental part of someones life. So that is what I am addressing today, the dash in between. So when we become born again (sunrise) we become heirs of the kingdom, and our king and father now promises in Jeremiah 29;11 that he has got a good plan for us and later in Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon (now that we are his children) formed against us shall prosper. Romans 8:35 also says that who will come between us and the love of Christ? Will trouble, or pain, or cruel acts, or the need of food or of clothing, or danger, or the sword? God knew that as we walked the path of the dash in between, we would literary go through hell, he didnt say we wouldnt suffer, but he said that his love would be there always helping us to conquer Romans 8:37 But we are able to overcome all these things and more through his love. There will be mountains to climb, battles to fight. Sometimes we will win and sometimes we will stand in the face of defeat; and yet even then he offers us a promise in Isaiah 40:31 that if we trust in him and depend on him and wait upon him, he shall renew our strength and we shall not grow weary or faint, rather we will walk and mount up with wing as eagles. Remember this is a sermon, thus the many verses When I (for the 7000th time) climbed Mt. Longonot in Naivasha, and decided to take the treacherous journey round the crater, many times I would find myself wishing that I hadnt gone, or that I could go back but right there during my regrets I would remember where I had come from and realize what lay ahead was far easier to tackle and that would give me strength to go on. I always believe that your past always worse than your future, so instead of going back, move on till Jesus puts a seal marked it is finished on your life. Heb 12:1 commands us to run the race with patience and Philippians 4:6 says that we really should not be anxious yet in everything (tribulations, maybe) we should through prayer and supplication and with Thanksgiving make our requests known to God.

So lets keep walking, lets keep fighting and lets keep at being dependent on God and I am sure that eventually we shall conquer, his mighty hand shall deliver us. Through our pain and tribulation we are perfected in our salvation and become worthy to share in the glory of our father and Lord Jesus Christ. So as Christians when they lay a tombstone over our bodies and write a date of sunset on our epitaphs, we shall be rejoicing with our maker days without an end, experiencing eternal life. Peace!!
