The following competencies were acknowledged with the disposition provided by both my administrator and my mentor. 1a. I demonstrate a solid knowledge of the business field. 1b. I plan my lessons with the background of my students in mind. I frequently relate ideas to life events that they may be familiar with. 1c. There is high rigor in my classroom. Students are given DOK1, 2, 3, and 4. 1d. The content is enhanced with the use of resources that I find, mostly on-line. 1e. My activities are engaging and students are willing to participate. 1f. I use the assessments given to plan future lessons. 2a. As noted in my observations, the classroom interactions are of caring and respect. I sincerely care of my students. 2b. I get excited about the lesson and the students know it~! 2c. We have clear routines. This is evident in the Self Operating classroom. 2d. I quietly give written warnings to students when needed. It is done in a way not to embarrass the student. 2e. My computer lab is spacious and students have room to feel comfortable.

3a. As noted in my observations, I am clear in the purpose of the lesson. Our lesson is posted on-line for the students to view. They know exactly what we are doing and where we are going. 3b. I randomly call of students and ask them open ended questions. 3c. My lessons are timed. We have a clear opening, work session and closing. 3d. I give out rubrics and encourage students to compare their work to the rubric. I also post samples around the room. 3e. When assessments show weak areas, I will alter my future instructions and will remediate when needed. 4a. I reflect on the lessons and go ahead and note the changes that need to be made. 4b. My records are accurate and efficient. 4c. I contact families frequently when good and bad behavior occurs. 4d. I volunteer in school events. I volunteer my time to create and produce the football program. 4e. I enjoy being observed by colleges and routinely ask that if there are teachers who have planning, that they are welcome to come into my classroom. 4f. I am of high moral standards. I display professionalism both on and off campus.
