Shavuot 2012
This week were going to take a slightly different route than normal in our studies, were going to look at the Feast of Shavuot, the feast of weeks, also known as Pentecost and how it ties into this weeks parshah Bemidbar/In the Wilderness covering Numbers 1:1 4:20. For fifty days, weve counted the omer and went through a time of testing, purging, and self inspection, and now we come to the time that marks the giving of the Torah at Sinai as well as the outpouring in the upper room in the days of the disciples. But just as this feast causes us to look back on these events, it also causes us to look ahead to events in the days ahead a future fulfillment of Shavuot! Exodus 34:22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end. Weeks: Strongs #7620 shabuwa seven, period of seven (days or years), week - Shavuot is the plural of this = Breaking apart Shavuot shuv to return & Ot - sign, signal, distinguishing mark; Shavuot is a sign of something returning; 3 letter root #5791) avath) to be bent, crooked, to pervert; used figuratively of bending or perverting justice Shavuot signals the return of the one who was perverted and crooked, having left the ways of Yahweh yet now makes teshuva! *1st seen in Genesis 29:27,28 Fulfill her week/shabuwa, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. Fulfill: Strongs #4390 male to fill, be full, accomplished, satisfied; mirror image forms the term alam (#481) to bind, to bind sheaves, to bind the tongue, be dumb or silent Rachel: Strongs #7354 Rachel ewe; 2 letter root is same root for ruach spirit, wind, breath & profane, unholy, common *This same word pair (alam & Rachel) are seen in Isaiah 53:7 as a sheep/rachel before her shearers is dumb/alam Shearers: #1494 gazaz to shear, mow, be cut off; gematria = 17 = the mouth/words/speech The feast of weeks/Shavuot has everything to do with the profane and unholy bride (Rachel) who has been cut off (gazaz) from the Word/mouth of Yahweh and whose own tongue had become bound, coming into contact with one who would fulfill her week and cause the Spirit/Wind/Breath (Ruach) to enter into

her again! *Shes being brought out of the house of Laban: Strongs #3887 Laban white; from #3835 laban to make bricks (2 times the bride was involved in making bricks 1) Tower of Babel 2) Egypt both ended in her becoming profane, unholy, and cut from the Word of Yah, cut off from the language!) Babel 34) + )Egypt 414 = (380) ,the 414th verse is Gen. 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be [a mother] of nations; kings of people shall be of her. Yahwehs promise that the barren Sarah would birth the promised seed, the same promise is given for those cut off if they so choose to leave their place of brick making! 414 + Laban 496 = (82) ,value of malkuwth kingdom Instead youll build the kingdom of Yahweh! Now lets take a look at this weeks portion! Numbers 1:1-2 Bemidbar in the wilderness, from #4057 midbar wilderness, mouth; from #1696 dabar word, to speak, declare. Its the 34th portion of the year, 34 = #1350 gaal/goel to redeem, act as a kinsman redeemer, ransom; #894 Babel confusion by mixing This portion emphasizes as well the purpose of Shavuot, to redeem a bride out of Babylon (from making bricks/Laban/Egypt) via the goel/the kinsman redeemer and bring her to the Word, where her mouth that has been bound will once again speak as the dabar/Word of Yahweh is placed within her! *This first verse has 17 words and 70 letters! is the 17th letter of the Hebrew alephbet & 70 = to redeem to redeem the mouth/speech is the purpose of the Bride being brought to the wilderness at Shavuot! Polls: Strongs #1538 gulgoleth head, poll, skull; from #1566 galal to roll, roll away, roll together; directly after seeing Rachel, Jacob rolls the stone away from the well in order to water the flock (Gen. 29:10), the same thing happens for us at gulgoleth/Golgotha Yahshua, the goel/redeemer, rolls away the stone from the well of Torah so that the flocks can be fed (the lost sheep, Rachels children)! Looking back at the root of Shavuot, shabuwa the 3 letter root forms #7618 shebuw a precious stone in the High Priests breastplate, probably an agate And the third row a ligure, an agate/shebuw, and an amethyst. (Exodus 28:19, 39:12). From the root #7617 shabah to take captive, to lead into captivity; gematria = 308 *This entire third row of stones is missing from the breastplate worn by

hasatan described in Ezekiel 28! The breastplate is also referred to as the breastplate of judgment (Exodus 28:15) Judgment: Strongs #4941 mishpat judgment, justice, ordinance (*Remember that Shavuot points towards one who has perverted justice/judgments returning! In other words, the absence of whatever these stones represent causes us to remain in that category of one who is perverted.). With 12 stones in all, missing 3 leaves us with 9 = perverted womb; 3 = associated with the goel *The failure to understand this causes us to remain perverted/profane and miss the goel! (12 stones for 12 tribesas long as the lost sheep remain lost, the house is in a perverted unholy condition!) Ligure: Strongs #3958 leshem a precious stone; same letters form #8002 shelem peace offering, an offering given voluntarily to Yahweh in thanks or praise to Him, one of the types of offerings brought at Shavuot Gematria = 370 Amethyst: Strongs #306 achlamah amethyst, stone in the 3rd row of the breastplate; from #2492 chalam to dream (1st reference in Genesis 28:12 when Jacob dreamed and saw the ladder/cullam 130 = ,same as Sinai ) Gematria = 84 *308 (agate) + 370 (ligure) + 84 (amethyst) = 762 value of to spurn the mouth of Yahweh Notice as well the reoccurring 28 Gen. 28 = the ladder, Exodus 28 = High Priest Breastplate, Ezek. 28 = hasatan wearing breastplate 28 = it was in the 28th generation from Abraham that Israel was deported to Babylon (Matthew 1:17), It points towards one being taken into captivity (shabah) when we fail to understand the offering of Shavuot (shelem) and were removed from the dream of the ladder/Language/Torah (chalam)! When we spurn the mouth of Yahweh (His language, His Torah, His Word) we find ourselves exiled in Babylon (just like the shadow picture of Rachel the profaned bride). Yet Shavuot is also the key to our restoration! 28 = 20 ( )authority and ownership & 8 ( )fence, in paleo when turned upright looks like a ladder The return of the authority and ownership back, we have an opportunity to once again see the ladder, to receive the Torah, to have our mouth redeemed! Also remember how important fire is at Shavuot, Mt. Sinai on fire, the cloven tongues of fire in Acts 1 Kings 18:18-19, 24 450 prophets of Baal + 400 prophets of the grove = 850, value of Miriam rebellion, this group of individuals represents the rebellious bride, still building 3

bricks to another husband instead of the kingdom! 850 divided by 50 (Shavuot is the 50th day of counting of the omer) = 17 mouth/speech, their mouth was still perverted having spurned the language/Word of Yahweh and they have no fire! 1 Kings 18:30-31 *These prophets are killed at Kishon: Strongs #7028 winding; gematria = 466 same as gulgoleth the place of counting, they reject the goel (because they spurn the mouth of Yahweh, they therefore reject the goel) and instead the price falls on their own heads!

The Offerings
Leviticus 23:16-17, 20 New: Strongs #2319 chadash new, new thing, fresh; from #2318 chadash to be new, renew, repair; also to polish a sword Meat offering: Strongs #4503 minchah gift, tribute, offering, present, oblation, sacrifice; gematria = 103, same as #5926 illeg speaking inarticulately, stammering; also the value of ebenim stones (as in the stones of the breastplate) the offering is not be offered by one who continues to pervert his justice! At Shavuot we are commanded to polish the sword what sword? This is the harvest of wheat: #2406 chittah wheat, gematria =22, the # of letters in the Hebrew alephbet! Were commanded to polish the sword of the language of Yahweh and this will renew and repair our stammering! The way we polish the sword and are repaired is revealed in the details of the offerings of Shavuot. Wave: Strongs #8573 tenuwphah swinging, waving, wave offering; from #5130 nuwph to move to and fro, wave, besprinkle = you will, she will = wave/move = breath, wind, spirit (Ruach) She will offer the wave offering and be filled with the breath! *#8566 = ( tanah) to hire, to sell oneself, reference to a harlot Leaven: Strongs #2557 chametz the thing leavened, leaven; this exact same thing is prohibited at Passover/Unleavened Bread! Yet now, required for the offering, why? Gematria = 138, same as #5301 naphach to breath, blow the most basic leaven is simply air that is captured in the dough, leavening agents are things that aid in this process! The significance of the difference between Unleavened Bread & Shavuot is the key! When Israel is commanded to keep the Passover/Unleavened Bread, they are commanded to remove the 4

chametz literally remove the breath/air, pointing towards the fact that they had played the harlot (tanah) and had been breathed upon by their other husbands. Yet at Shavuot, the loaf must be leavened have air. They are now filled with the breath of Yahweh! In preparation for the Shavuot encounter at Sinai, Israel was told to wash their clothes (Exodus 19:10). Wash: Strongs #3526 kabac to wash (by treading), be washed, perform the work of a fuller; cognate of #3532 kebes lamb; gematria = 82, same as Laban Clothes: Strongs #8071 simlah wrapper, mantle, covering, garment; Exodus 12:34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened/chamets, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes/simlah upon their shoulders. From #5566 cemel statue, idol, image In case they misunderstood the shadow picture, it was made clear that they were being given the opportunity to trade in the bondage of brick making (Babel/Egypt/Laban) and be washed by the lamb! The requirement was to remove the idols/false gods/husbands! *After this, on the 3rd day, Yahweh would come down to breath into them His Word! Just like its the 3rd row of stones of the breastplate that teaches us of our return and Shavuot the feast of return is in the 3rd month! Value of Shavuot 778 + Value of Bemidbar 248 = 1,026 Verse #1,026 = Genesis 35:14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, [even] a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon. * This is the same place (Bethel) where Jacob previously saw the ladder in Gen. 28 and afterwards he did the same thing (set up a pillar and poured oil upon it)! Directly after leaving this place Rachel dies in vs. 19! Rachel dies because she chose to keep the idols, to bring them with her when leaving from the place of making bricks (Labans house/Babel). Israel in the wilderness does the same thing, they bring the gods with them and because of that they die in the wilderness! Yet Shavuot is pointing towards the pillar thats been anointed! Pillar: Strongs #4676 matstsebah pillar, stump; 2 = letter root of both chamets & matzah = ; in her If the bride would allow the chamets of Egypt (breath of Egypt) to be removed for the matzah (purging process), and then offer the chamets at Shavuot, symbolic of allowing breath/Word/Language of Yahweh to be in her then she would be one truly redeemed by the goel her kinsman redeemer!

Exodus 24:4 And Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars/matstsebah, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. *A mark/sign/signal that at a future Shavuot, all 12 tribes would be gathered again at the mountain, just as Elijah built the altar with 12 stones. This time they would have the oil/shemen/seed poured upon them and be impregnated with the Word/Torah and be able to speak it forth/birth it from a pure redeemed mouth!
