Design a fully functioning san-serif typeface across three weights, which is contemporary, yet honourable to its heritage. It must contain interesting characters, which will want to be used in headlines and display type, and it must also offer characters which combine to give a visual balance amongst a large amount of body text.

The typeface has been designed to currently offer three weights. Bold, Regular and Light. The typeface is fully functioning and available to use within any software. Italics are proposed but not developed any further than the word itself. A full set of British standard glyphs are included.

Three promotional posters to accompany the typeface, adhering to the conventions within the specimens, but pushing the possibilities of the typefaces uses. Functioning at different sizes across all three weights. The posters take inspiration from contemporary design practice, showing how Astin functions in a variety of manners.

An interactive website for the promotion and sales of the typeface. The viewer will be able to try and test the typeface on screen, in all three weights, a variety of point sizes and on three background colours selected respectively from GF Smith online colour swatches. The website will also offer the sales of the specimens and posters.
