STRIPED SCARF
INSTRUCTIONS
Row 1: Ch 16, dc in 2nd ch from the hook and in each rem ch. Ch 2, turn. (14
stitches).
Row 9: Join next color with a sl st to first dc, ch 2, dc in same st, dc in each rem
dc. Ch 2, turn (14).
Rows 25- 64: Rep rows 9-16 five more times for a total of 8 stripes.
If you are making a 3-color version, rep rows 9-16, six more times for a total of 9
stripes.
Fringe: Wrap each color yarn around an 8 inch cardboard or VHS tape cassette
28 times. Cut yarn at one end. Using 2 pieces of yarn of each color, fringe every
other stitch on each end for a total of seven fringes per end. Trim evenly.

INSTRUCTIONS
Row 1: Holding one strand of Fun Fur and one strand of Super Saver tog, ch 15,
dc in 5th ch from the hook, (ch 1, skip one ch, dc in next ch) five times. ( You
should have 6 spaces and 7 dc. The first 4 chs that you skipped counted as a dc
and space.) Turn.
Row 3- last row: Rep row 2 until Fun Fur runs out. Fasten off.

TIP: Use thumb and index finger of your non-hook holding hand to open up the
stitch before crocheting into it. This helps you “see with your fingers”.
INSTRUCTIONS
Row 1: Holding one strand of each color tog, Ch 70, dc in 3rd ch from the hook,
dc in each rem ch across. Ch 2, turn. ( 68 dc).
Finishing: Tie an overhand knot at each end of scarf to give it some weight and
balance.

Row 1: With darkest color of Fun Fur and holding 2 strands tog, ch 70, dc in 3rd
ch from the hook, dc in each rem ch across. Fasten off.
Row 2: With next color and holding 2 strands tog, attach with a sl st to first dc, ch
2, dc in same st, dc in each dc across. Fasten off.
Row 3: Turn work so that darkest color is on top and working on the rem chs of
the beginning ch 70, with next color and holding 2 strands tog, attach with a sl st
to first ch, ch 2, dc in same st, dc in each rem ch across. Fasten off.
INSTRUCTIONS
To begin, tape the end of your beginning length of yarn to your cardboard, box or
chair back.
For a one-color braid, wind an entire skein of Lion Brand Homespun around the
cardboard, box or 2 chair backs. Cut one end (where the tape is). Remove tape.
Wind the rubber band 3 times around one end. Have a friend hold that end and
evenly divide the yarn into three groups. Firmly braid the yarn. Wind the second
rubber band around the finished end. Trim each end evenly.
For a two-color braid, working one color at a time, wind Super Saver around the
cardboard, box or chair backs, 90 times. Wind the rubber band 3 times around
one end. Have a friend hold that end. Divide yarn into 3 sections, 60 strands of
first color, 60 strands of 2nd colors and 30 strands each of the 2 colors. Firmly
braid the yarn. Wind the second rubber band around the finished end. Trim each
end evenly.
For a three-color braid, working one color at a time, wind entire skein of Caron
Glimmer around cardboard, box or chair backs. Wind rubber band 3 times
around one end. Have a friend hold that end and firmly braid the yarn. Wind
rubber band 3 times around the finished end. Trim each end evenly.
For a two-color Thick and Quick, working one color at a time, wind entire
skein, around cardboard, box or chair backs. Wind rubber band around one end.
Have friend hold that end. Evenly divide strands into 3 groups. Firmly braid. Wind
rubber abnd 3 times around the finished end. Trim each end evenly.
