A Study of Use of Facilities Provided To Cerebral Palsy Students

And How many CP students using the facilities provided to them by the state or centralGovernment ? Researcher want to know that how many students of cerebral palsy gets benefits of these facilities even though they are not aware about the facilities. Research Questions : (1)How many cerebral palsy students know about the facilities provided to them? (2)How many cerebral palsy students did not know about the facilities provided to them? (3)How many cerebral palsy students did not know about the facilities provided to them and did not use them? (4)How many cerebral palsy students did not know about the facilities provided to them but used them? Area of The Research : The present study was related to the educational psychology and special education area of research. Limitations of The Study : (1) The geographical area was limited to the Ahmedabad district only. (2) Cerebral palsy students of Government, grant-inaid and private schools were included in the present study. (3) Among the physically challenged students only cerebral palsy students were included in the present study. (4)Cerebral palsy students of class 8th and 9th were selected in this study only. Sample : In the present study 92 cerebral palsy students were selected from 51 secondary schools with the help of purposive sample method. Methodology : Survey method was used for the study. Introduction : The purpose of this study were to investigate the level of awareness and used of benefits provided by the government to the cerebral palsy students within the inclusive school. Having a student with cerebral palsy in the regular classroom has its challenges. Cerebral palsy can range from mild to severe and has many symptoms. Usually the impairment is caused by an injury occurring in the brain during the parental stage or at birth, however it can also be related to genetic factors. Government and Non-Government organization provides so many facilities for them. How many cerebral palsy students have aware about the facilities provided to them by the Government? And How many students are taken benefits of these facilities given by the Government? Are they aware about having benefits whenever they taken or not? To find the answer about these questions the researcher has been done this research. Statement of The Problem : A study of use of facilities provided to cerebral palsy students Objectives of The Study : (1) To study of cerebral palsy students who were aware about this the benefits provided to them. (2) To study of cerebral palsy students who were not aware about the benefits provided to them. (3) To study of cerebral palsy students who were not aware and did not use the benefits provided to them. (4) To study of cerebral palsy students who were not aware but used the benefits provided to them. Key Terms : (1)Awareness of Facilities : Facilities provided by the different types of physically challenged institutions,Government and Non-Government as well as the central and state government. These are also provides the information about the institutes provides these facilities, types of facilities, amount of scholarships, eligibility for getting scholarships, percentages or scholastic achievement needs for that, certificates regarding their disabilities, economic conditions of the family, reservation for vari-

vided to cerebral palsy students and its use by them was used in the present study. Statistical Analysis : Percentage was used for the analysis of data. Findings of The Study : (1) Among the 92 cerebral palsy students, 43 stu dents were aware about the facilities provided to them by the Government. (2) Among the 92 cerebral palsy students, 49 stu dents were not aware about the facilities provided to them by the Government. (3) Among the 92 cerebral palsy students, 13 stu dents were not aware about the facilities pro vided to them and did not use them. (4) Among 92 cerebral palsy students, 36 students were not aware about the facilities provided to them but they used them. Analysis of The Study : (1) 46.74% cerebral palsy students were aware about the facilities provided to them by the Govern ment. (2) 53.26 % cerebral palsy students were not aware about the facilities provided to them by the Gov ernment. (3) 26.53% cerebral palsy students were not aware about the facilities provided to them by the Gov ernment and they did not use them.

(4) 73.47% cerebral palsy students were not aware about the facilities provided to them by the Gov ernment but they used them. Educational Implications : (1) Schools and Government should maximum try to aware cerebral palsy students to facilities for them. (2) Government should give advertisements in the newspapers and television and some other print and electronic media to aware the cerebral palsy students and their parents also. (3) Schools should always aware about the students suffering with cerebral palsy students and always give proper information and provided everything whatever Government should provided them. Conclusions: There are many cerebral palsy students in the society. For their uplifting, many programmes have been done by social institutions and many state Government offices. Even the one and half hour telefilm Rasto Tunko Thay has been telecast for them through the Doordarshan to make the educated and non-educated people to aware of the information and can get their maximum benefites. One helping hand for the development of handicapped children is better than two hands join for prayer Handicapped people work with more devotion than good or bad people whenever it is possible in your education, in business or in profession give importance to the handicapped.
