BORROWING EBOOKS WITH YOUR 3M CLOUD LIBRARY

What You Need to Start: 1. Youll need your Android or Apple device 2. WiFi or online access (WiFi recommended). 3. Youll also need your library card number. To Check Out an eBook: Go to the app store market on your Android or Apple device. Search for 3M Cloud Library (the app icon looks like the image to the right). Download and install. Once the app has been downloaded, you will click on it to open it. Select these options: State: CT Library: Darien Library Enter your library barcode number. Read through the End User License Agreement and Agree or Dont Agree. If you do not accept these terms, you will not be able to use the 3M Cloud Library. Click Login. 5. Once you are inside the app, you can search for eBooks in the Shelves tab, by Categories, or you can Search for a title. 6. You can look through shelves by swiping your finger to the left and right. 7. Download an eBook by clicking on it. Then click Check Out. Using Your eBook: 1. Click on the MyBooks tab. Click on the one you want to read. 2. When your eBook finishes downloading, your device will notify you that the download is complete. Click on your eBook again. 3. You can swipe your finger left and right to navigate through your eBook. If you press and hold your finger to the page, you will have other options: The i is to see information about your eBook. AA lets you change the size of the text. The magnifying glass lets you zoom in and out of the page. The dotted outline of a square lets you write notes or add a bookmark. The scrollbar on the bottom lets you navigate faster though the book.

To Place a Hold: 1. Sometimes the eBook you want is unavailable. If that happens, just click the Place Hold button. You can click on this button again to remove the hold. 2. To see your holds, go to MyBooks and look at your Hold List. You will get an estimate of when the book will become available. To Return an eBook: 1. Go to MyBooks and then click on the eBook that you wish to return. 2. Press and hold your finger to the page and then click on the i button. 3. Click on the Check In button. 4. You can then rate the eBook and then press Return Book to check the book back in. Wish List Feature: Under the Categories tab, you will also see eBooks available through 3M which includes eBooks that the Library does not own. If you find an eBook that you would like to request, just click on Add to Wishlist so we will be notified that this eBook has been requested. Darien Library Help Desk: 203-669-5238
