Welcome to Stuttgart Germany

The Hochschule fr Technik Stuttgart, founded in 1832, is located in the center of Suttgart, capital of the federal state Baden-Wrttemberg in the south west of Germany. It is the economic, cultural, sporting and social hub of a region in the heart of Europe. The city is surrounded by a beautiful countryside including the valleys that grow the wines, the Black Forest mountains and the Lake of Constance. Stuttgart is in easy travelling distance of other European countries like France, Switzerland, and Italy. The Stuttgart area hosts important headquarters of renowned companies such as Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Bosch, Hewlett-Packard, Alcatel and IBM. The State Art Gallery, the Opera House and the world-known Ballet Company are symbols of the cultural attraction of Stuttgart. There are also lots of opportunities for sports and entertainment.

Programme Description
The programme is offered in a three semester (S3) or a five semester (S5) version, allowing students to combine part-time work and studies. The S3 version lasts two semesters plus a subsequent master thesis. Students must be present two days a week and for en bloc seminars, which usually take place at the weekends. Studies in the S5 version last 4 semesters plus a semester for the subsequent master thesis. Students must be present one day a week and for en bloc seminars. Following the masters degree, the MBA degree (below) can be acquired at the partner university in Great Britain. This involves an additional semester and a thesis. Thesis During the programme, students are supported in developing perspectives for their future career. The master thesis gives students the chance to develop a subject which is their area of interest and in accordance with their own experience. It can be developed in cooperation with a company, thus providing the direct possibility of making contacts to businesses and/or with potential future employers. Internationality In cooperation with the John Moores University (JMU) in Liverpool, Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences offers an additional MBA course as a supplement to the inclusive master programme in International Project Management. Half of the modules successfully taken in Stuttgart will be accepted at JMU. Students acquire comprehensive economic and business expertise, providing additional necessary skills. In addition to the synergies outlined in the brochure, it is possible to write one master thesis for both the M.Eng. and the MBA. The elements provided in the degree course, plus the possibility of a cross-university master thesis offer a university programme which is unique in terms of costs, time and relevance.
