STAGE 3 2012/2013 PATTERNS OF STUDY

Note that ALL EE UG Pathways can now lead to a BEng or an MEng Degree. Note that the "Electronic Engineering" degree title covers two Pathways: "Electronic Engineering - General (EEG)", and "Electronic Engineering - Devices (EED)". For MEng students the EED Pathway leads to level-M specialist modules in the area of "Devices". (i.e., Semiconductors, Photonics and Nanoelectronics).

C: m: o: To qualify for MEng or BEng Honours you must pass the module EE3.prA with a minimum of 40%. Compensation is not allowed. On this Pathway you must register and take assessments in ALL modules marked "m". Elective module on this Pathway.

EED: Pathway leads to the "Electronic Engineering" Degree title, there are no specialist Rules: the Pathway serves to define Patterns of Study suitable for those interested in Devices.

GENERAL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATES C: To receive a Beng or MEng degree you must obtain credits from this module by passing it at 40%: compensation is not allowed.

SPECIALIST DEGREE REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATES From 2012/13 onwards, to receive a Beng or MEng Degree with a technical specialist title, you must obtain credits in all the mandatory modules for the pathway (compensation maybe allowed).
