BUMI LAUNCHED THE COMPANYS GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE MASCOT, MR. SPIRIT
June 29, 2007 PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI) launched Mr. Spirit, the Companys

mascot for good corporate governance on June 28, 2007. The launching ceremony was held at the Ballroom of the Gran Melia Hotel, Jakarta and was attended by the Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, BUMIs and its subsidiary companies employees, contractors, suppliers, consultants, media, and investors. Mr Suryo Bambang Sulisto, the President Commissioner of the Company presented the opening speech. He stated that with the current initiatives and implementation of good corporate governance practices, the Company intents to gain international recognition. He also mentioned how the socialization activities of the good corporate governance policy and the code of conduct were conducted, i.e. through workshops and group discussions. At the end of the launching ceremony, the President Commissioner, President Director, together with the other members of the Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, employees and the audiences declared their commitment to implement world class good corporate governance practices at the Group, i.e.,Lets Do It! THE SPIRIT WAY. Mr Spirit, symbolizes the commitment of the Boards of Commisioners and Directors, management, staff and business partners of BUMI and its subsidiary companies in implementing and adhering to good corporate governance practices. This commitment is being intensively socialized amongst the entire BUMI community at all levels across all its establishments using an attractive easily identifiable mascot, Mr Spirit, to signify good corporate governance and the code of conduct.
