A video conference Purpose: To provide opportunity for youth to explore their gifted areas and interest and to learn what it means to be committed and give accountability within the church body. To disciple our future church leaders, and encourage ownership in their local church. These intern ministry tasks give youth the opportunity to make a difference in our local church! They will learn commitment to the church and grow in their own walk with Christ. It is as we serve others that we learn to be a servant. It is not until we can be a servant that we can be a leader of others. They will gain a confidence in areas and given this opportunity will learn organization within the church under adult supervision. Youth will learn what it means to participate in various ministries within the church and grow and develop skills that may someday be useful as leaders and to disciple others. They will be presented opportunities to explore different areas and see how God may lead them. It is only as we equip these youth, that they will become great spiritual future leaders within the Church. Jobs are adult supervised Time: 16 clock hours (1clock hour can only be earned per service) A job descriptions will be provided for each position Ushers (greeters, offering collection), Assistant Sunday school Teachers (Craft & Kids Worship), Kitchen (Snacks, dinners, events), Janitorial (Cleaning, yard work), Pastoral Care & Visitation (Door-to-door, shut-in hospital), Worship Leaders (singers, readers of scripture), Outreach (Nursing home, missions ect) Assessment (Video question & answer) Certificate of Completion once clock hours are submitted Youth will stay with job assignment until time has been completed. They will learn responsibility and perseverance to stick with that job until completed. They may choose another task after completion of the first one assigned to them. Attire: Good casual clothes and shoes, or dress clothes and shoes Optional Days to Serve: Sunday Morning, Sunday evening, Revival Nights, Special Services Hours: 16 total hours (each individual service counts for one hour) Duties: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Arrive 10 minute early to church Collect the offering during worship service with the other ushers Walk in step with the other ushers Give your offering plate to the head usher Observe any newcomers in the worship service, and ask them politely if they would fill out a visitor card and drop it in the offering plate. 6. Smile and welcome everyone (as many people as you can) by name that enters by saying something like: Im so happy to see you. How are you today? We hope you enjoy the service. 7. Give new comers a welcome guest gift. 8. Make sure all lights are turned out in the church at the end of the services 9. Stay alert during the service listening to: any time that pastor expresses a need for distributing any kind of papers, and any time that an offering will be collected. There could be two offerings collected at times. 10.Pick up any papers or bulletins you see left in the pews after the service.
Once you have completed all 16 hours, you will be video interviewed about your experience. You will receive a certification of ministry completion as an Assistant Usher.

Help prepare food for special dinners as requested by the Kitchen Director 2. Set tables 3. Decorate tables 4. Mop floors in dining hall and kitchen 5. Wipe tables 6. Take our trash after every meal 7. Clean refrigerators 8. Wipe counters, stove, and sink after every function 9. Set out snacks for children on Sunday morning 10. Recruit assistance from all youth in cleanup after youth meets 11. Throw away old food in the refrigerator 12. Put away all pots, pans, ect after dinners - that have been washed and dried 13. Make sure all lights are out before you leave. 14. Adult supervision at all times.
Once you have completed all 16 hours interview, you will be video interviewed and receive a certification of ministry completion as Kitchen Hostess/Aid in training.
Attire: Good casual clothes and shoes during service times. Days to Serve: Saturday (Days that are requested and you are available) Hours: 16 total hours (each individual service counts for one hour) Duties: 1. Assist with visitation on Saturday 2. Prepare mailings in cards and flyers to homes as requested 3. Assist with preparation of the outreach dinners or activities (ex. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Fathers Day, Mothers Day, VBS, Easter Egg Hunt, F.R.A.N. Sunday Dinners, and Passover Seder). This may include serving, cleaning, or preparation of food. 4. Send out miss you cards for a list of absentees once a month. 5. Help planning of Community Events under Youth Ministry/NYI 6. Propose ideas for Community Outreach
Once you have completed all 16 hours interview, you will be video interviewed and receive a certification of ministry completion as an Outreach Assistant in training.

Sing in the Worship Team Arrive 10 minutes early and be up front read to sing Attend Practice on Wednesday or Saturday Select one song a week (upon approval of worship leader), You will be assigned a different type of song to select each week in order to learn how to select appropriate music for worship. You will be given a list to choose from, and you may offer suggestions. a. Prayer b. Praise c. Repentance d. Worship e. Encouragement f. Holiday (relevant) Develop a music schedule for one month. Read a Scripture verse during worship as requested (relevant to music) Categorize all church music and create a file Read a prayer for worship at least once during this internship

When you have completed all requirements you will be video interviewed and receive a certification of completion as a Music Assistant.
Attire: Work clothes and shoes, or dress clothes and shoes Optional Days to Serve: Sunday Morning, Sunday evening, Revival Nights, Special Services Hours: 16 total hours (each individual service counts for one hour) Duties: The Inside and Outside Appearance of the Church is your focus. Adult supervision at all times. 1. Upkeep of lawn 2. Removal of snow on sidewalks 3. Trimming bushes 4. Painting as needed 5. Window cleaning 6. Mopping floors 7. Cleaning storage rooms 8. Cleaning bathrooms (downstairs) 9. Emptying all garbages - weekly 10. Vacuum and mop (Sunday school rooms)
Once you have completed all 16 hours, you will be video interviewed and receive a certification of ministry completion as a Maintenance/Custodian Assistant in training.
Attire: Good casual clothes and shoes during service times. Optional Days to Serve: Sunday Morning, VBS Hours: 16 total hours (each individual service counts for one hour) Duties to Assist Teacher as Requested: 1. Arrive 10 minutes early 2. Welcome Students as they arrive 3. Assist in cut outs of material for preparation of lesson 4. Decorate a bulletin board related to theme suggested 5. Lead one song weekly in Kids Worship Music 6. Teach the weekly Scripture Memory Game 7. Make contacts of absentees using postcards (provided) 8. Straighten up the room after service and turn out the lights 9. Select weekly Quiet Seat winners 10.Attend the Sunday school teachers meetings 11. Keep note of all birthdays and add to the bulletin board 12. Assist students in adding stars to their attendance chart weekly 13. If possible, take a class in First Aid and child CPR. 14. Assist in Vacation Bible School (See Director of VBS) Once you have completed all 16 hours, you will be interviewed and receive a certification of ministry completion as a Sunday school Teacher Assistant in training. You will be under supervision at all times.

Optional Days to Serve: Sunday Morning Hours: 16 total hours (each individual service counts for one hour) Duties: Adult supervision at all times. 1. Arrive 10 minutes before service begins. 2. Greet parents and toddlers or babies 3. Sit in nursery with toddlers 3-under during the Sunday morning worship service. 4. Never allow a toddler to leave the nursery alone. 5. You many read them a book. 6. Straighten the toys before you leave and turn out the lights. 7. Allow a toddler to leave only with a parent. 8. You many sing to the toddler. 9. You may pray with the toddler. 10. You may tell them that Jesus loves them. 11. Wear gloves to clean up any accidents. 12. If possible, take a class in First Aid and child CPR. Once you have completed all 16 hours, you will be interviewed and receive a certification of ministry completion as a Nursery Teacher Assistant in training. You will be with an adult at all times.
