BAGHOUSE FILTER

FGK
MODULAR PULSE JET TYPE

OPERATION AND APPLICATION Baghouse Filters are state of the art, high efficiency devices designed to remove particulate matter from flue gases. IRMA PS supplies modular pulse-air Baghouse Filters for industrial and utility applications. Baghouse Filters are manufactured to meet the requirements of every particular customer and are capable of handling gas volumes from several hundred to several thousand cubic meters per minute. All IRMA PS Baghouse Filters are custom designed for optimum air-to-cloth ratios, longer bag life and higher particulate removal efficiencies. Over the years IRMA PS has provided numerous successfully operating installations for a variety of industries, such as: coal, cement, steel, power, mining, chemical, wood and mineral processing etc. FEATURES

Modular design Over 99.9% efficiency Top bag removal Wide choice of bag materials No internal moving parts Corrosion resistant cages Long bag life guarantee Rugged construction Durable casings & quick access doors Automatic control Minimum site preparation Non clogging Handles high inlet gas temperatures Various construction materials, for different applications

ADVANTAGES The Baghouse filter has no internal moving parts, which provides continuous filtration at a constant gas flow rate and automatic control. It is one of the most efficient and most commonly applied devices for removing suspended particles. Due to its modular construction it is easily adaptable to meet the specific requirements of the customer. This arrangement allows individual compartments to be cleaned while others remain in service.

BASIC DIMENSIONS FGK Baghouse Filter has modular construction and as such capable of handling gas volumes from several hundred to several thousand cubic meters per minute. Each standard module has an effective filtering area of 70m3 and an average dust loading of 150m3/m2h. The base outline dimensions are 2500x1200mm with the height of 6500mm. The size of the bags is 160x3370mm and their number per module is 9x5=45 pieces. The average consumption of compressed air used for bag cleaning ranges from 0.1 to 0.2% of the total gas volume handled. The size of the filter is set in line with the effective area of the fabric calculated on the basis of the formula: A=Q/q [m2] where: Q [m3/h] gas volume flow rate and q [m3/m2/h] specific dust loading

Specific dust loading for different dust materials are given in Table 1. Table 1.

Table 2 gives a basic overview of our standard baghouse filters including module arrangement and overall effective cloth area and filter weight. The number in the code denotes the flow rate of the gas handled reduced by 104. Mean pressure drop in the filter is 1500 Pa. Table 2.
