Polypropylene ties are ideal for use in aggressive chemical environments where chemical effects on nylon are a concern. This is because they are not affected by inorganic acids (hydrochloric), polyhydric alcohols (ethylene glycol), neutral salts (sodium chloride) and basic salts (sodium bicarbonate). They also resist a number of other chemicals with good results, although they have a lower tensile strength than Nylon 6.6.

Our range of nylon coated cable ties feature a buckle type locking mechanism. This provides a quick and easy application which can easily be unfastened for re-using. Suitable for multiple installations over long periods of time in harsh environments such as marine, oil exploration and mining. The PPA 571 Coating is a thermoplastic coating powder specially designed to provide a long lasting, tough coating for exterior application. PPA 571 is based on an alloy of acid modified polyolefins and provides good abrasion and impact resistance.

HOW TO USE NYLON COATED STAINLESS STEEL CABLE TIES STEP 1

With the buckle on the top and the strap facing towards you, pass the tie completely around the bundle starting from the front.

STEP 2
Thread the tail through both tabs and the bridge of the buckle.

STEP 3
Using the Tensioning Hook and pulling in line with the buckle, tighten tail around bundle to the required tension.

STEP 4
Bend tail backwards over the top of the bridge.

STEP 5
Locate tail between the tabs and bend tabs over the tail.

Tensioning Tools For Stainless Steel Cable Ties
CSST 1 FOR STAINLESS STEEL CABLE TIES

This tool is specifically designed for use with coated or uncoated stainless steel cable ties. Suitable for cable ties of thickness up to 0.3mm and width up to 7.9mm. Features a variable tensioning device and automatically cuts when the desired tension is reached.

APPLICATION METHOD FOR CSST 1 STEP 1

Place the tie around the object to be secured.

STEP 2
Insert the tail through the slot and into the ratcher jaw and tension by repeatedly pressing the tool handles together.

STEP 3
After tensioning, move the tool with an up and down movement and twist the tool in a clockwise direction. This will shear off the tail adjacent to the cable tie head.

CSST 2 FOR STAINLESS STEEL CABLE TIES

This tool is specifically designed for use with coated or uncoated stainless steel cable ties. Suitable for cable ties of thickness of up to 0.3mm and width up to 7.9mm. Features a manual cutting device which cuts when the desired tension is reached.
