Although Lahore has a great many traditional and modern restaurants but mostly people in Lahore prefer fast food such as McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Dominos Pizza, Subway Sandwiches, Dunkin Donuts, Hardees and Kentucky fried chicken. Among all the fast food, our research was specifically based on McDonalds and Hardees. So we conclude that Hardees is more famous among the people of Lahore as compared to McDonalds.
Our third hypothesis was that People prefer Hardees because of their food quality and
taste. Hence it is proved; yes people of Lahore do prefer Hardees because of their food quality and taste. Hardees offer a quite different taste than McDonalds. People like jalapeno more than big mc burger. People prefer curly fries which were introduced by Hardees as compared to simple plain fries in McDonalds.
The last hypothesis was that Hardees is comparatively better than McDonalds in Lahore.
In our questionnaire Question No.13 when it comes to taste 40 percent people marked McDonalds and 42 percent people marked Hardees. Hence our hypothesis is proved.
Recommendations: McDonalds has to take further steps or develop a strategy so that people of Lahore
become highly involved in purchasing food from McDonalds.
When the involvement of the consumers become high in McDonalds then the company
has to maintain the standard which will justify their involvement.
Hygienic factor and ingredients of the fast food is important for the consumer, so
companies should work more on these factors in order to meet the expectations of the consumer.
Fast food companies should work on the benefit, concern about the fast food,
consumers desire, made fast food a fascinating matter for the consumer and at last work on the exciting factor of fast food so that consumers expectations regarding these factors can be meet.
As our research shows that Hardees is more popular in Lahore so McDonalds should
make significant use of billboards and signage for the advertisement.
McDonalds should search for different marketing strategies that should be much better
than their competitors.
