The Ithaca Commons is a two-block pedestrian outdoor mall but it is filled with only local Ithaca businesses including shops, bars, galleries, and restaurants. There is a TCAT(Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit) Bus that goes from the College to downtown every hour. It is easy to get there from different locations using major highways. The Commons consists of two blocks, large enough to hold hundreds of businesses. The Commons is located right in the heart of downtown Ithaca and can be spotted by any individual who lives in Ithaca. The Commons has three entrances on three different busy streets and is easily accessible by foot. It is in good condition. The Ithaca Downtown Partnership is a non-forprofit organization that is in charge of operations affiliated with the Commons. On top of the businesses lie numerous apartments. The Commons is an excellent place to go out on a Saturday night and have a

good time because it is conveniently located to many residences, there is excellent transportation to and from The Commons, there is little to no traffic, and it is in a spot many people will recognize HOW .WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE??? Although the Ithaca Community probably wouldnt allow this, I would like a couple familiar bigger businesses to locate within The Commons for my shopping pleasure. This action might drive out smaller local businesses.
