THE END OF THE WORLD The world is going to end on December 21st, 2012. Many people are ignoring the obvious signs that point to humanities final judgment day being just over a year away. Prophesies, Current Events and Science all show that the world will end in 2012. I. PROPHECIES: 1. Mayan Calendar The most publicized prophecy is from the Mayan civilization and their accurate long count calendar. The Mayan calendar is set to end on Dec 21, 2012 and there are many theories why this date ends the Mayan Calendar. The Mayan calendar, the most sophisticated calendar any civilization has ever produced, foretells that the world will end in the year 2012. The creation of the Mayan calendar dates back to six years before the birth of Christ, and it is said to be more complex and precise than the ones society uses today. The Mayan calendar is so accurate, that it could predict solar and lunar eclipses thousands of years into the future. Common wisdom has it that the only way to prepare for our future is to understand our past. Therefore, to decode the secret of the Mayan Calendar, anthropologists studied this ancient culture in more detail. This astonishing knowledge lead to the building of the Mayan pyramid of Kukulkan, which in fact is a three dimensional calendar. It has ninety-one steps on each side plus the platform on top which equals to one full year. In the year 1519, Spanish conquistador Hernando Cortez arrived with his army and almost wiped out the Mayan race and culture. His reasons were that the Mayans religious practices such as human sacrifices were barbaric and devilish. Out of the entire Mayan civilization, only four books were 3

saved. The most important of them can be currently found in Dresden, Germany. In 1880, a German scholar named Ernst Frstemann found it and began decoding the codex, revealing the future of the world. This is how the discovery of the Mayan calendar, called the Long Count was made possible. It is from the Long Count that they made many predictions about the future, specifically Doomsday. After years of assembling data from astronomy, archeology, anthropology, and iconography, experts calculated the start date of the calendar to be August 13th, 3114 BC, mysteriously ending 5,125 years later on December 21, 2012. This is why, on this date, it is predicted that the end of the mankind will occur, and a new era will begin. The world should believe the Mayan prophecies, not only because they were obsessed with tracking time, stars, and planets, but also because some of the predictions they made actually came true. Another significant prediction made by the Mayan culture which was later confirmed by modern astronomers is the Galactic alignment. This is yet another sign that the Mayan predictions are to be taken seriously, and in this case, they are also backed up by current scientific evidence. On December 21, 2012, the Earth will be in exact alignment with the Sun and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy also known as the Galactic Equator. This is a colossal event that takes place only once every 25,800 years. We are part of the Milky Way Galaxy, which is in essence, a huge disc shaped collection of stars and planets. Presently, the Solar System is located somewhere on top of the galaxy, but, in the year 2012, we will be intersecting with the Galactic Equator. If we make it passed 2012, we will eventually be going under the disc. On top of intersecting with the Galactic Equator, due to the wobbling of the Galaxy, we are also aligned with its center where there is maximum mass. The more mass there is the more gravity as well. As that is amplified, there will exponentially be solar disruptions which will result in solar flares. This could potentially leave humanity without 4

electricity. Taking a minute to reflect on this, life, especially in developed countries, is null without electricity. Technology has increased to such an enormous extent in the last century, that it almost controls us, instead of vice versa. Psychologically speaking, human mind is so addicted to it, that it would be a very slow process to be able to adapt to a life without technology. Also, to make matters even worse, the Mayans are once again backed up by scientific evidence at the fact that a galactic black hole exists at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. The black hole sprays an enormous amount of magnetic energy towards the galactic equator. If our Solar System enters this area of big turbulence experts predict a very high risk of a global disaster 2. Many people doubt his prediction, but Nostradamus did predict the rise of Hitler, Napoleon and even the twin towers. 3. Terrance McKennas Time Wave Theory The final prophecy is Terrance McKennas Time Wave Theory. In that theory, the year 2012 is called "Time Wave Zero." McKenna took the 5

I Ching, did some kind of mathematical fractal operation with it, and produced a computer program, which supposedly produces a "time wave. The mapping of time mysteriously ends at 2012. The I Ching is the oldest Chinese Oracle and is revered as the most complex book of Chinese wisdom. Terrance McKenna took numbers from the I Ching and plugged them into a computer program to find Time Wave Zero or the day that time will stop. Mckennas numbers told him that 2012 would be the year. Many say this is just a coincidence, but to plug in so many numbers and to come up with 2012, how unlikely. These prophecies all show that the world will end in 2012. II. CURRENT EVENTS Current events have lead experts to believe the world will end in 2012. Global Irregularities are more common because of the green house gasses that are being released into the atmosphere. 1. Global warming The greenhouse effect is the phenomenon where the earths atmosphere traps solar radiation, caused by the presence in the atmosphere of gases such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane that allow incoming sunlight to pass through but absorb heat radiated back from the earths surface. Greenhouse gases come from products that humans consume daily. There are many things humans do that accelerate the process of global warming and release these greenhouse gases. Driving cars with high emissions and burning fossil fuels for energy instead of using natural energy sources like wind and solar energy. Environmental ethics are a thing of the future. Instilling them now only helps the future of our planet and our children. into our atmosphere. Simple things like using less water and finding alternate methods of transportation can help reduce these high levels of toxins The earth is slowly deteriorating and we may not see the end result in our lifetime, but maybe our childrens. 6

2. Asteroids and meteorites Many different types of Asteroids present near and far from the earth are in regular motions. Some are revolving round the earth continuously. Some small ones are colliding daily to our earth surface but are not making much damage to it. Some of the bigger ones are believed to collide the earth in the near future which can make much destruction. This is also caused by the changes made in nature day by day and also due to change in magnetic conditions which results in change in gravitation conditions also. The end of the dinosaurs present few thousands of years back on this earth were also believed, due to the collisions of some asteroids then (Note that an asteroid just 15 km wide is said to have destroyed the dinosaurs). So think of the human race, what affect can these asteroids, have on us and also on other living beings on these earth. 3. Sun storms Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the 7

Earth with so much radiation energy, it's been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest it'll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012. 4. Super volcano Yellowstone National Park in the United States is famous for its thermal springs and Old Faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple - it's sitting on top of the world's biggest geological beginning to volcano, experts get and are nervous

sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we're many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang. 5. Nuclear activities Man is becoming enemy of man now a days and war all around is increasing. Hence humanity can be one of the greatest downfall fro humanity itself. No one wants to fail in any way IN THIS WORLD WIDE WAR. This is leading to more and more productions of weapons which can harm humanity. Nuclear bombs are one of the strongest ones and can cause much more destructions than any other. More and more countries are testing their nuclear products daily and can cause in a great destructions in the near future. Nuclear activities going on all around the world are also disturbing the nature in the 8

present time. The pollution from it can cause much problems and diseases in the human body or if very great can cause the downfall for whole civilization 6. The strange disappearance of bees Another current problem for humanity is the disappearance of bees. Albert Einstein once said: If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man....On the West Coast keepers have seen bee population losses in the 30 to 60 percent range. On the East Coast and Texas it gets as high as 70%. This loss of bee pollination will become a problem for farmers all over the United States in 2012 when the farmers find hat their crops are barren because they werent pollinated. This could lad to spiked food prices and a need to import excess food from other countries, causing famine across the United States. The current event that is most directly linked to 2012 is the spike in natural disasters in the US in recent years. In 1953 the US had a total of 35 natural disasters, while in 2010 there were 90 natural disasters (Declared Disasters 1). This stat is not only relevant in the US; there was also the tsunami in Japan, and earthquake in Haiti that broke disaster records worldwide. Many experts believe that this increase in natural disasters is the Earths way of telling us that our time is up. These current events are only the tip of the iceberg compared to what will happen in 2012. III. SCIENCE Science has come to prove that the word will end in 2012. As Hugh Westrup states, scientists have discovered that, "Volcanic rocks of different ages indicate that Earth's magnetic polarity has flipped roughly every 200,000 years. The last reversal happened about 780,000 years ago, so the planet is overdue for the next one"(Westrup 3). 9

Scientists believe this could be happening in the next couple of years because, "Earth's magnetic poles move about 10 kilometers (6 miles) per year. In the past 20 years, however, that movement has increased to about 50 kilometers (30 miles) a year" (Westrup 1). When the geomagnetic poles do switch, the earths magnetic field will be down for about ten years. When the geomagnetic field is down it will leave all of earth extremely susceptible to UV rays. The polar switch would usually just call for extra sun block but the polar switch will be extremely dangerous this time around because, The next period of intense solar activity is expected in 2012, and coincides with the presence of an unusually large hole in Earth's geomagnetic shield (Joseph 4). The increased solar activity is predicted to give off more UV rays than the sun has ever given off, and because it coincides with a polar switch, humanity must start to worry. The final thing that has scientist all over the world worried about is planet X. This plant is supposed to come closer to earth than any other planet has before. Many scientist believe that, the gravitational pull of a planet entering the inner solar system would have profound effects on the other orbiting bodies, including Earth (Direct np). These effects could include earthquakes and a day of great. These scientific phenomena all point towards the world ending in 2012. The prophecies inspired humanity to research, the current events opened humanities eyes, and the science behind it all show that the world will end in 2012. People all over the world are preparing by buying food rations and underground shelter, but these will all prove useless. The only thing that humanity should prepare is their souls, because December 21, 2012 will be the end of humanity.
