commissioned in 1962. With a subsequent, steady & continuous progress increased the capacity at Ammasandra to 6 Lac TPA in 1978. In 2008-09, plant was fully automated with state-of-the-art of ABB Automation. Present work Profile: - At present I am working as G.M. (Inst.) responsible as Instrumentation Head of the Department in HeidelbergCement India Limited, Ammasandra Unit and responsible for the following activities as mentioned below Plant Automated by ABB Automation. Complete responsible for maintaining the DCS hardware & Software wise. Developing & training to the other staff personnel. Preparing the deptt. Maintenance budget, adopting the best preventive maintenance practice to minimize the breakdown. Breakdown Analysis with all staff members. Maintaining & optimizing spares and spare part at micro level. Maintaining the inventory up to the optimum level. Minimizing the overtime and manpower availability maximum. Discussion with suppliers, third party services, other departments, contractors, etc. Energy monitoring Cell, responsible for optimizing the Energy levels. Duration: 2nd September 2009 to 23rd June 2010, M/s Prism Cements Limited, Mankahari DisttSatna, M.P.-485111 Company Profile: it having one running plant and another one under project stage. Prisms Line-2:- project of 10000TPD Eco friendly plant, is being supplied by FLSmidth, Chennai, India. Control & Power control system is being supplied by M/s ABB of new age. Entire control system based on the latest communication technology i.e. PROFIBUS, MODBUS. All motors are derived through the IMCC (Intelligent motor control centre) integrated to ABB DCS through the Profibus field bus. Prisms Line-1:- plant is in running condition and producing 7500TPD supplied by FLSmidth having control system of FLSAutomation. It is one of the most prestigious cement plant in the M.P. and Chattisgarh region of India and have achieved many National and international awards on the environment, electricity, safety etc., Work responsibility during working tenure:Plant Atomization through ABB DCS. It include preparation of BID, control philosophy, control system selection, I/O selection, system architecture, BOM, BOQ, integration of subcontrol system based on Profibus, IMCC based on Profibus, development of database and program, FAT, erection and commissioning etc. Flow sheet finalization with customized tags, Field instrument selection, field instrument engineering, Cable engineering, P&ID, Sub-control system, panel drawing verification and approval of the same, Panel allocation room wise, Instruments Special Instrument test report verification and approval Project Material management. All erection, commissioning activities of the instruments, VFD panels LT415VAC,690VAC,6600VAC, SFF, SFM, W/F, I/O panels, cable engineering LOAD CENTRE engineering etc. Selection of vendors, contractors, verification of the job & bills etc. Duration: June 96 to 28th August 2009, M/s Ambuja Cements Limited, Raberiyawas Distt-Pali, Rajasthan-306709 Company Profile: It is a 1.4 MMTPA Eco friendly plant. Nihon Cement Corp. is the collaborator and plant was supplied by FLS, Denmark. It is certified with ISO-9002: 2000. It has two Thermal Power Plant of each 15MW Work responsibility during working tenure:Plant was erected and instrumentation part was commissioned in 1996. I was part of the project team. Control system was of ABB MP280/1. Then involve in the maintenance of the plant.

In 2002 our plant start producing the PPC, so full flash fly ash system was developed inhouse. And the control system & field engineering was under my control. In 2004, Screening & crushing project was commissioned with the FLS control system. In 2006 Plant control system was changed from ABB to the FLS Automation with the ContrologixL63. I was fully in-charge of the retrofitting job. And the same time plant capacity was enhanced to the 8000TPD from 6000 TPD by adding one more preheated string with SLC. In-charge of the Project from automation side & responsible for the complete Engineering & allied activities related to automation Side for the small projects for enhancement in production and power. In maintenance, I was responsible for the maintaining the instrumentation from lime stone crusher to clinkerization. Power plant automation as additional responsibility.
