Purpose

The purpose of the document is to provide a detail overview of the CommSure Campus Skill Development program. This document will explain the approach undertaken by CommSure and the Program flow through the duration of the program About CommSure Knowledge Solutions

CommSure Knowledge Solutions is a privately owned, Learning and Development company offering Result Oriented training services to Colleges and Campuses. Our unique blended learning model has been well accepted in the market. We are currently in the process of patenting our Blended Training design. CommSure promises a bridge between, education and a promising career. CommSure offers training programs that act as a career enhancer for the corporate entrants, executives and professionals. Learning English & Communication Skills with CommSure is a step by step user-friendly process where, one doesn't have to join a training institute but can be proficient by learning online, So how different are we? Traditional on-campus training programs are short, fast tracked and one-to-many facilitation models. This means that students have less time to adapt to learning and very little one-to-one time with the trainer. Learning implies the ability to interact with the content, Trainer, get feedback, and more. CommSures English Proficiency and Business Skill Enhancement program understands that soft skills are best learnt if the learner is allowed to practice, experiment and make errors without being exposed to the others in the class.

Background

Students join engineering with aspiration of fulfilling their career ambitions, be it employment or higher education. Faculty plays a vital role in realizing student dreams and moulding them into well rounded professionals. Most of the Campus Skill Development programs follow one to many facilitation models. The acceptance of e-learning courses by the students has not yet reached its full potential. We at CommSure Knowledge Solutions believe that unless there is a collaborative model established between the College Management Student Training Vendors, Learning cannot be effective and be able to deliver results Most of the University prescribed training programs also mostly rely on Intranet / Internet based Learning Content. However, We at CommSure Knowledge Solutions believe that unless the Student is presented with opportunities to practice and implement the learning in real life, Soft skills learning cannot be effectively delivered. It is this reason why most of the training programs offered today do not deliver the results (Recruitment Conversion ratio) as promised. Eklavya, CommSures prestigious Campus skill development program targets to bridge these gaps through Collaborative partnership and involvement of the in-house college faculty, state of the art Learning facilitation technologies and practical application based virtual mentoring and coaching techniques. Unlike other short paced, commercial training programs, Eklavya is an extensive 3 year program that slowly yet effectively brings in the required attitudinal and behavioral changes, by providing constant learning, coaching and feedback month on month .

Training Need Analysis : The Learning dynamics of every college is different and unique. We understand this aspect and hence conduct an in-depth Training Need analysis with the College Management and students. Once the Training needs are established, the content and course structure is then designed to meet the specific needs of the College. Staff Orientation: The role of the faculty in student development is of utmost importance, in skill development in higher education. We at CommSure Knowledge Solutions understand this and hence, our programs are designed to involve the college faculty in the student skill development process The skill gap between a degree and a job can only be bridged, if the faculty is well versed with the corporate requirements. We hence conduct an extensive 5 day workshop for the College faculty to orient them with the current trends in the corporate environment. Once the requirements are understood, an extensive induction in to the 3 year Eklavya program is conducted as a part of this 5 day workshop, so the staff understands the Training methodology, Content and their role in the Eklavya program. Monthly orientation and preparation meetings are conducted with the panel through the 3 year duration of the course. Soft Skills expert Panel Once the Memorandum of Understanding is established with the college, a soft skill expert panel team is formed in the college. This panel will include the Principal, English Faculty, Management Training Faculty and the respective Heads of the Departments. The Soft Skills Expert Panel will be the key drivers of all the initiatives taken up through the Eklavya program in the College. A few high level roles and responsibilities of the Expert panel are mentioned below Mentor and Motivate students to implement the learning through the program in the college premises Implement an English Only Zone within the walls of the College and establish controls to strictly adhere to it. (Including Faculty) Conduct the various monthly activities through CommStudio Coordinate Video recording assessments and activities Provide one-one feedback for under-performers

Implement Project based approach to all the activities, events and parties conducted in the college Build cohesive working relationship with CommSure Knowledge Solutions staff and Virtual mentors and facilitate smooth running of the program Support CommSure in scheduling the various training activities in the college Act as a disciplinary panel to ensure strict adherence to learning objectives Constantly get oriented in to the training methodologies and strategy followed by CommSure CommSure Virtual Mentors CommSures key strength and market differentiation lies in its experienced back-end training staff and the extensive operational processes. It is for this reason that we have fool proof internal recruitment process to attract the right talent from the industry to work for us as Virtual Mentors Virtual mentors are Soft Skills trainers with proven experience in delivering soft skills training in corporate companies. Our Trainers come from reputed training companies and corporate IT companies. This ensures that our Virtual Mentors are well aware of the requirements in the market and thereby deliver effective coaching and mentoring to the students. We provide dedicated Virtual Mentors to each college to ensure that we understand the learning needs of each student in the college and thereby impart need based and customized skill development programs. A few high level roles and responsibilities of our Virtual Mentors are listed below Conduct and evaluate the Pre-assessment tests Evaluate Video assessment activities and provide one-one feedback Be available 9 hours a day to provide call and Chat support Conducted tele-mentoring to each student on a monthly basis Coordinate with the Soft Skills Expert panel team in case of underperformers and keep the panel updated about the progress Provide feedback to the Soft Skills Expert Panel regarding under-performers and ensure that the feedback is delivered to the student by the Panel. Provide coaching to the expert panel on conducting the monthly activities Separate ILT teams to ensure un-disrupted delivery of the monthly Virtual Instructor Led Training classes

Dedicated Support Team to ensure that all the feedbacks are recorded on V-Train, our online Reporting and Training Logistics management tool Dedicated technical support team to ensure technology does not hinder the training process. To facilitate this, we provide technical support on Chat, call and Vtrain. We follow a online ticketing system to ensure all reported issues are given due attendance. Industry HR Experts In order to ensure absolute industry orientation throughout the program, we also conduct mock interviews and Industry Speak video based interactive sessions for students every quarter. We are currently in touch with almost 13 companies to help us provide this support to our students. Since these sessions are conducted every quarter, the student gets in to a habit of interacting with the HR personnel and thereby eliminating the fear of communication in interviews. The Training Process

Eklavya is a comprehensive training process which combines Instructor Led Training, Online Learning and simulation based training to ensure that the learning inputs given are practiced well and thereby ensuring maximum learning retention. The training process has been designed and developed in consultation with Industry and Academic experts. We are in the process of patenting the design of our training model, including our Learning Technologies and Learning facilitation tools.

The overall Training process has been detailed in this section Pre-assessment Process It is important for any training program to assess the student before training is imparted to understand the Training requirements of each student. It is for this reason that we conduct an extensive pre-assessment test to gauge where each student stands compared to the end learning objectives. Online Assessment Online Assessment targets at measuring and assessing the four important aspects of Communication. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing are assessed through the preassessment process. The online assessment consists of the following sections Free Speech Assessment (Speaking) : Embedded recording software, where students have to speak and record an audio file about a random free speech topic. Language and Grammar (Writing & Reading) : This section of the test covers all the basic English grammar skills required Reading Comprehension (Reading) : This section consists of a Passages that students have to read and thereby answer the corresponding questions.

Video Assessment Video Assessment section of the pre-assessment includes a mock interview that will be conducted, which is recorded. CommSures Virtual mentors then assess the video file and provide detailed feedback covering areas like Confidence, Body Language, Free Speech ability, quick thinking, Positive first impressions etc The feedback is then provided to the student along with the video, so the student is able to view areas that need improvements while attending interviews. This is a powerful tool and ensures maximum retention of feedback. Assessment Feedback All feedbacks are managed on our Reporting and Training Logistics Management system, V-Train. Users can view their videos and the respective feedback, performance on the online assessment and their Learning Map (Areas of Development and topics to concentrate for the rest of the semester). The Soft Skills expert panel also is provided access to the feedbacks of all students to review and monitor performance.

Virtual Instructor Led Training The Virtual Instructor Led Training process is an important element of the Eklavya training program. Each month, a corporate style 8 hr instructor led training is provided to students through the 3 year duration of the program. The program has been designed to provide short interventions of topics each month followed by online content of the same topic and activities to assess the learning and implement the learning for that respective month. Details of the content are provided in the next section of this document. The Virtual Training will be conducted through Video Conferencing. A dedicated Training team will be provided to each College to facilitate this process. The admin staff at CommSure will coordinate with the Soft Skills Expert Panel to schedule and organize these sessions as per the academic schedule. We are tied up with CISCO, market leaders in Virtual Communication networks, to provide the Video Conferencing software support. Online Learning Modules

CommSure-Learn it Easy One of our Premiere products, has been the pioneer for Quality Online Learning content. A few salient features of our Online Learning product are listed below Over 35 various modules covering Basic English Grammar, Communication Skills and Business Skills. Each slide is followed up by a voice over Animated Trainer to ensure maximum interactivity Every sub-topic is provided with extensive downloadable reference material in PDF format Interactive assessments and practice assignments 2D animations make learning absolute fun CommChat Chat support feature where student can pause the module and chat with our experts for any queries or concerns CommCall Call Support incase student is still unclear after chatting with the team Anytime Learning Learner can access content anywhere any time Review content as many times as possible Extensive reports to review performance

Access to generate reports will also be provided to the TPO in the college Video lessons to ensure specific topics are well understood (Ex: Interview Skills, Group Discussion, Body Language etc)

Virtual Mentoring

Virtual Mentoring is a unique service provided by CommSure Knowledge Solutions for the first time in India for Campus Skill Development programs. Through this process, we monitor how the learner is implementing the learning imparted through Instructor Led training and online learning programs. Call Mentoring: Each month our Virtual mentors get in touch with the students twice a month to talk to them, understand their level of learning, motivate them etc. Feedback for each of these interactions will be uploaded in V-Train. Soft Skills Expert Panel: Regular one-one meetings will be arranged with the Panel to ensure that Learner is aligned to the end objective of the learning program. Underperformers will get special attention from the Panel as well as Virtual Mentors Video Mentoring: For under-performing students, special attention will be provided by the Virtual Mentors through Video Mentoring. (Managed by CISCO Training Center tool)

Video Based Learning Extensive of Library of Videos are being developed at our end to ensure learning is delivered in an effective way. Videos consisting of various case studies, Body Language, Interview Skills, and Group Discussion are being developed (to be ready and live by June2012) CommStudio CommStudio is an innovative Communications Lab by CommSure Knowledge Solutions. Through this all the monthly activities are handled. It is here that our Video recording equipment (Provided free of cost) will be installed. All the video assessments, Video recording based Mock Group Discussions, Virtual Instructor Led Training etc will be conducted

About V-Train

V-Train is an Online Reporting and Training Logistics System. The system is comprehensive and built to facilitate the creation, management, execution and publishing the virtual Training sessions (Video, audio and Tele) and activities with their corresponding reports and feedbacks online. The system emphasizes on prompt delivery and management of effective Training sessions and ensuring relative, effective and optimum feedback of the trainees by experienced Professional trainers in a common interface. This enables the trainees to view their feedback online anytime and from any place which helps them to learn and work on their areas of development in a more effective way. V-Train minimizes the hassles and risk of the logistics involved in a training session which can be travel, location, time and delivery of an effective session. The comprehensive reports which can be generated at any point of time during the training Program by our tools will help the management, trainer to track the performance of the trainees, so that corresponding actions can be suggested to the management or trainees for enhanced learning.
