The government

The Justice Department and the American government sued BP and several other companies involved in the Gulf oil spill Wednesday, an opening salvo in the government's effort to get billions of dollars for untold economic and environmental damage. The government accuses the BP of disregarding federal safety regulations in drilling the well that blew out April 20 and triggered a deadly explosion on the Deepwater Horizon rig. The lawsuit is separate from a Justice Department criminal probe that has not resulted in any charges. "The department's focus on investigating this disaster and preventing future (spills) is not over," Attorney General Eric Holder said during a news conference in Washington. "Both our civil and criminal investigations are ongoing." President Barack Obama defended his administrations response to the BP Plc oil spill and said Americans one day must decide how much risk they will tolerate to keep drilling for fossil fuels. Barrack ombama repeated promises to punish BP have not only affected its share value but even raised doubts about its ability to pay out its usually generous dividend. Talking about the government which were involved in the oil spill, I think its fair to do that they deserve some blame of the oil spil but not all of it, at the end of the day BP deserve full responbility of there actions towards the spill, it was there plans and operation which they took out. The most the government did was an investigation on what caused the oil rig and how it happen. The most the government did to help was to pay some expenses off to the people that had businesses and lands in the gulf but BP try to stick the blame to the US government because of its interferance of BPs operations but For President Barack Obama, the main culprits in the Deepwater Horizon disaster are already clear they are BP, the Brits in general, and the "drill-baby-drill" policies of the previous administration.
Directors/managers at BP: BP chairman right now Carl-hentic syanberg the man which got hired after tony Hayward resigned and also Carls team which are CEO of bp Bob Dudley and Byron grote. These guys here are the main coplrates of the Oil spill disaster and why the public still see shame in BP. This is because they have not delt with the situation the way it was planned out to be. Customers and users of BP experienced this disaster which shook the whole world and to think BP would try the best to solve the problem, no all BP did is pay off all the damages and expenses which were caused and let the

rest of the gulf of Mexico clean the mess. Ethically this plan BP had was wrong and this is were Tony Hayward resigned because there was too much publicity battle going on how he was just the blame of the oil spill.
The implications First, the President and the federal government, Gulf Coast states, and all participants in the offshore industry should deploy resources necessary to contain the spill. Second, BP, Transocean, and others should put information in the public domain that is relative and updated periodically, explaining the various plans which have been put in place to shut of the flow of oil beneath the ocean. In the last couple of days (May 2-3), there has been a freer flow of information concerning contingency planning, and that is welcome. Third, as much information as possible should be made public concerning what happened, and an emergency group of the National Petroleum Council should assemble to report on what changes, if any, should occur regarding current ongoing offshore drilling programs. Though incidents such as this may cause members of public to view any industry participant with suspicion, the worlds greatest source of expertise on these issues can be found within the U.S. industry, both the oil and gas producers, and those who provide assets and services to the industry. I worked with the National Petroleum Council when I was Deputy Secretary of Energy and currently serve as a member. This group first began providing advice to the President during World War II on matters essential to the energy which fueled our war time effort, and historically has taken its public policy responsibilities to the nation very seriously. Of course, federal and state regulators could accept or reject recommendations from this group. Fourth, in parallel there should be a blue ribbon group examining procedures for dealing with blowouts in the deep offshore environment, which should make recommendations concerning the risks and procedures to minimize risks going forward. A good model might be the panel headed by former Secretary of State James Baker which examined, and was highly critical of, BPs safety practices for refineries following the 2005 explosion which claimed 15 lives. The community

In a press conference this afternoon, a spokesman for BP ( British Petroleum ) announced that the recent Oil Spill on the Gulf Coast will be beneficial to the local community. The amazing claims suggest that the thousands of leaked barrels of Oil that spewed into the sea will generate hundreds of new jobs in the community. On April 21st an oil rig off the coast of Louisiana exploded, resulting in a massive oil leak that is threatening the eco-system and marine life throughout the Gulf Coast. However in a Press conference today BP have told the world

press that this is good news for the area. Marvin Wankshank, head of fingering and anal inspection at BP told the press room : Its amazing news for the Hot Spot areas. Hundreds of jobs have already been created. We need lots of people to de oil seagulls, collect dead fish and scrape oil pools off elderly sunbathers who were not quick enough to escape the oil sea. Oil is also very very good for the skin and many people have been seen swimming in the sea oil to help with age reduction and reduce vaginal rash. To a hushed room,Marvin concluded his statement by adding: By comparison, a few dead fish and oily seals is worth the hit to gain the amazing community spirit this leak has created After finishing his talk, the BP spokesman made a quick exit onto his next public meeting at a lost and maimed puppy sanctuary to show the benefits of life with Oil. The environmentalist
An unprecedented environmental disaster is occurring in the Gulf of Mexico and there is no way of knowing when it will end. Already the spill and resultant damage to the environment has far exceeding that caused by the 1989 Exxon Valdez calamity. Neither the oil company nor our US government knows what to do or how to stop it. The gulf is one of the most fertile marine environments in the world as are the surrounding wetlands. It is a spawning, nursery and living environment for many species of fish and shellfish; producing over 20% of the shrimp and much other seafood consumed in the US. It is the major of the only two spawning and nursery habitats for endangered Atlantic Giant Bluefin Tuna and it is just as important site for the highly endangered Kemps-Ridley Sea Turtles. Some plans have been drawn out to improve BP as a company and also to be more ethical which is really important. With all the money BP has an idea of giving a certain percentage to charity will show a contrubution to change things around and obviously for BP to look like a organsaton that cares for the people who are in need and and those less fortunate than us and do not just work for their own benefit of earning money. By BP applying this the media can see how they are changing things around for the better and it will bring back customers. In conclusion, in this task I have evaluated the impact of my recommendations from the previous tasks for BP to be more ethically viable. The recommendations I have

looked at included government, directors/managers at BP, the local community, environmentalists and BPs customers.
