The Importance of Actions of Faith Theres a lot of wonderful teaching that the Lord is bringing in these last days

about the importance of believing God and receiving the grace of our Lord Jesus that its not by works, its by faith and how true that is and how perfect that teaching is! But sometimes people misunderstand that teaching that it is only faith and no works which actually make grace available to us and that kind of a heresy or that kind of a misunderstanding which is one of the unwanted beauty queens in the church Miss Understanding - Is something that has caught the unnecessary adulation of the believers. That beauty queen has somehow married many. But today I want to divorce that from many hearts according to the Word of God and show us how the Bible explains to us that the grace of God comes to heal us because faith in Jesus is so powerful as we receive what Jesus did on the cross for us. Somebody said that if Jesus did everything, we have to do nothing. I said if Jesus did everything for you and you have to do nothing and you want to take it to an extreme then the point is you shouldnt be eating or sleeping because Jesus did both for you; you shouldnt be staying alive or dying because Jesus did both for you. So there is a meaningful level to which we must take that and there is a meaningless level to which we can take it. And the Bible calls two conditions foolish. One condition the Bible calls foolish is that people say having faith in God is not so important but doing the right works is important. And in the book of Galatians, the Bible says O foolish fellow who told you that its works that makes you justified before God because it is not your works, it is your faith that makes you justified before God (Galatians 2:16). And that is so true! But then there are others who say there is no need of works at all only faith is enough. You continue as you lived in the world just have faith in Jesus. That is enough. Then the Bible in the book of James says O you foolish fellow who told you, how can you think that faith without works is complete. It is incomplete and you need works. There are two categories that are called foolish. So I want to get into that in a very strong way because the Bible gets into it in a very strong way. I want to teach us from the Word of God on how we can walk a victorious life. Lets look at it from the Holy Bible. But one of the reasons to why people enjoy the teaching why everything is by grace and nothing matters is because that gives them a license to do whatever they want to do. Now the Bible says in the book of Timothy in the last days there will be heretics who will come teaching the doctrine of devils, turning away people and people will enjoy them because that is what people want to hear. They want such people. The people do not want preachers who will say you are a sinner, you need to turn to Jesus and you need to change your life. But today they want preachers who will say whether youre a homosexual or you want to go for a divorce or you want to commit adultery or you want to drink, you want to smoke its okay, just come to church, worship and go back. Well there are 2 kinds of people we want to belong to the kind of people whom Jesus called wise virgins who will be ready with their lamps though we may look like the

other five who are foolish without oil in their lamps. The only difference is what Jesus can make but I want to stretch that very clearly saying that there is a truth in these teachings but we should be careful not to take it beyond a certain level which the Bible does not mean. One of the challenges I face on Sundays when I have to deal with strong issues is that Sundays we have a mixture of people who have probably come to the church for the first time and have not gone to any other church and then people who are born in the church and every Sunday theyve been hearing something from the time they are born. Some have been hearing the messages from the time you were in mommas womb. Now, we call it the womb to the tomb Christians but the point is that while I struggle to make it meaningful to both the extremes I believe that the Holy Spirit will do what he wants to do in His own beautiful way because the preaching of the Word of God sets at liberty gifts that are abound and I believe that it will happen today in the Name of Jesus. But I felt an inspiration in my heart last week that I must preach this week on the importance of grace and works of faith and works so that people can have a healthy life and thats what I want to turn to how, right? Shall we get into Gods Word? Lets go into Gods Holy Word James 2:18 onwards. The NIV James 2:18-26. One of the books people who dont like little bit of rules and regulation one of the books avoid is the book of James because James tells very clearly says Hey, shape up! very very direct and Im going to read only a portion of it. Lets turn to the Bible James 2:18 I would like you to mark it in your Bibles infact the whole chapter is very meaningful. But someone will say, You have faith; I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe thatand shudder. The Bible is saying You are only having faith in Jesus but the devil has more faith than you to a point that he is shivering. If faith would have given grace then devil should have all the grace because the Bible says the devil has more belief than me and you
