Getting familiar with the Web Intelligence interface:

1. Create a new Web Intelligence document in InfoView or Rich Client

2. Choose the eFashion universe 3. Drag the following objects from the Data Tab into Result Objects panel: State, City, Year, Revenue 4. Run the query 5. Create a Year-wise section on the report 6. Edit the query to add an object Quarter 7. Add this object from the data panel into the report table

2 Displaying data in different forms

1. Create a report with the objects State, Year and Sales Revenue 2. Create copies of the list table generated 3. Convert them into the following styles: Cross Tab, Bar Chart, Pie Chart, Radar Chart etc. 4. Indent the report neatly by getting into the structure view 5. Explore other formatting options under the Properties tab on the left hand side panel.

Exploring Prompts
In the year 2003, in which Quarter did Crepe Trousers generate maximum revenue. In which store? How about 2002?

1. Use the eFashion universe to create a report with Year, Store name, and
Sales Revenue. Use the Pre-Defined Condition named Which Product. 2. Define a prompt on the Year object 3. Section the report on Year and then on Quarter and analyse the data to find the answer

1. Repeat the previous exercise using quick report filters

5 Using Alerters
Generate a report to highlight all stores generating revenue of less than $100000 during the Christmas season over the 3 years

1. Use an alerter highlight revenue <$100000

2. Use the Pre-defined filter named Christmas season
