Do I show respect and devotion as I prepare, as I receive, and after I receive Communion? What example am I giving?

The medicine of Immortality was how St. Ignatius of Antioch referred to the Eucharist while Thomas Aquinas considered it to be the greatest of all sacraments. Given its pre-eminent status, it seems only fitting that the Church has a feast day called Corpus Christi to specifically celebrate the Eucharist. Corpus Christi is traditionally observed on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday and this year falls on June 10th. Monsignor John Kennedy is an official at the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith and he tells us more about the history and importance of the Corpus Christi feast, as well as its prayers, and the main customs and traditions associated with this feast day. Monsignor Kennedy says this feast is "extremely significant for the Church" as the Church has always taught that "the Eucharist is the central aspect of the Church's life ... and is the "most august or the most special sacrament." He goes on to say that one of his "earliest memories" from his childhood "is taking part in the Corpus Christi procession", wearing his Holy Communion clothes. Monsignor Kennedy says Pope Benedict aptly summed up the meaning of this feast day in a discourse in 2008 using three key words: "gathering, walking, and kneeling... we gather around the altar of the Lord, we walk with the Lord and we kneel before the Lord in adoration." Catholic Questions and Answers
Question When is it appropriate to applaud at Mass? To do so appears to reduce the Mass to the level of entertainment, but so many people do it nowadays that I'd like to know if the Church has any teaching about it.

Answer There is no Church document specifying applause as an appropriate liturgical response to music, singing, homilies, or announcements of gratitude by the presider. Although the Church does not explicitly state that applause is inappropriate at Mass, that may be because such a stricture used to be enforced by Western society. As a matter of traditional Western etiquette, it used to be severely frowned upon to applaud in church because church services are worship offered up to God and not entertainment to be critiqued by the assembly. Now that society has generally lost the sense that applause is inappropriate in church, I suspect that the Church may soon have to speak on the matter before people take the idea to its logical conclusion and begin to boo when they are insufficiently entertained at Mass. Question
Why can't priests hear confessions through electronic media such as telephone, e-mail, or Internet?

Answer Confession on the telephone or by e-mail is not permitted by the Church for a couple of reasons. First, the sacrament of confession is a personal encounter with Jesus in which he personally addresses every sinner: "My son, your sins are forgiven." He is the physician tending each one of the sick who need him to cure them. He raises them up and reintegrates them into fraternal communion. Personal confession is thus the form most expressive of reconciliation with God and with the Church. (CCC 1484)

Second, maintaining secrecy is essential. The "Church declares that every priest who hears confessions is bound under very severe penalties to keep absolute secrecy regarding the sins that his penitents have confessed to him" (CCC 1467). E-mail, the Internet, and telephones are never completely private. The Pontifical Council on Social Communications on The Church and Internet says: Virtual reality is no substitute for the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, the sacramental reality of the other sacraments, and shared worship in a flesh-and-blood human community. There are no sacraments on the Internet; and even the religious experiences possible there by the grace of God are insufficient apart from real-world interaction with other persons of faith.
