Foood Since the beginning of history, man has hunted animals for food to live and to utilized other

parts for clothing and other essential reasons. In this modern world men still hunt animals for food but also for sport. The question is, has hunting become or has always been a blood sport? People have many assumptions to whether or not hunting is an act of senseless murder or a sport. Blood sports are along the lines of dog fighting and cock fighting. To better understand the differences between the two, it must be defined down to the very last detail. Throughout history people have been pursuing wild animals to provide their families with food, clothing, and shelter. In these modern times societies hunting needs for survival has lessened because of the development of agriculture, animal husbandry and manufacturing of processed food. The overall sport of hunting, however has lingered on because of the challenge and enjoyment of outdoor life. In the ancient world of Europe, nobility enjoyed hunting as a sport as we do today. There was times in history when hunting became profitable and hunters begankilling animals for their fur, skins, and claws. This is when regulations began to come into
Everyday most of the worlds population eats meat products, while small percentage have chosen different life style by being vegetarian. Vegetarian diets are full of flavor, essential nutrients and everything else needed to maintain a healthy body. There are various advantages of vegetarian dietsuch as reduced risk of cancer and heart disease, low cholesterol level, lower incidence of hypertension and high blood pressure than meat eaters. Meat diet is not considered a healthy choice because it has many risks such as various cancers, high blood pressure, heart attack, high cholesterol and many risk factors. Vegetables are beneficial to human body as Albert Einstein describes Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet (Richard 2). What exactly are vegetables? There are many different kinds of vegetables such as cauliflower, carrots, cabbage, celery, corn, eggplant, turnip, broccoli, peas, radish, squash or pumpkin. Regular consumption of vegetables is associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, Alzheimer disease, cataracts, and cancer (Liu 1). There are many arguments why vegetarian diet is b One of the questions facing society today is whether animals should be used in scientific experimentation. In the middle of this controversy, many ideas about nature, primarily animals, are formed. Each side has different arguments, each one posing questions on the place of humans with respect to animals and the rest of the natural world. The history of the benefits of animal research is marked by dramatic breakthroughs. Working with animals in research is vital to continue medical progress. There is a great deal of controversy surrounding animal research today. One example of such controversy is animal rights activists saying that animals have the capacity to suffer. Another

example is animals cant control their own behavior and humans can, so humans shouldnt harm the life of animals. Animal rights activist also say that animal research is deliberate and therefore cruel. Lastly animal rights activists believe discrimination against other life forms, because they are members of different species, is parallel to discrimination against humans on the grounds of race, gender or religion, and therefore is immoral. On top of this there are many things that we would not have if it werent for animal testing. Human beings and wild animal encounters often result in the death of either the human or animal. Controversy amongst people has been established over this issue and support for animals rights has been developed. The people who sustain animal rights are called animal activists, and they disagree with cruelty and death of animals regardless of the circumstances. If an animal attacks a human, the act of killing the creature should not be permitted. Animals were here long before humans inhabited the land, so people invaded the animals terrain. Once in the wilderness, a person needs to be cautious of his or her behavior because they are on the animals turf. Blending into the environment is the best chance of reducing the risk of being attacked by an animal. To help blend into the environment, emotions should not be revealed. Animals can detect human emotion, so if an individual feels afraid the animal can easily react to the emotion. If the animal responds to the fear, it will view the person as inferior and attack. The backwoods, where these animals roam, is isolated from the world that humans know. It is not a wise decision to bring anything that might at

Traditionally, animals have been used to ensure the safety of our consumer products and drugs. Yet around the world, scientists, regulators and animal protectionists work together to develop alternatives to their use. The use of animals in the life sciences dates back to ancient Greece and the earliest medical experiments. To learn about swallowing, physicians cut open into the throat of a living pig. To study the beating heart, they cut open into its chest. For centuries physicians and researchers used animals to enhance their knowledge about how the various organs and systems of the body functioned, as well as to hone their surgical skills. As long as animals have been used in experiments, people have expressed concerns about such research. Questions about the morality, necessity, and scientific validity of animal experiments have arisen since those ancient physicians first began to study bodily functions. Alternatives are methods, which refine existing tests by minimizing a! nimal distress, reduce the number of animals necessary for an experiment or replace whole animal use with vitro or other tests. While vivisection has receive

There is an argument in society whether animals should have rights or not. My position on this issue is that animals should have rights, because both people and animals seek values such as food and shelter to sustain their lives. Philosophers like Peter

Singer argue that rights are derived from the capacity to experience pain, and since animals can experience pain just as people can, animals also have the right to be free from harm (Regan). My opponents position is that animals should not have rights, because rights are derived from the capacity to reason, and thus people have rights and animals do not (Locke 35). Animals have played a role in human society since civilization began. At first, animals were hunted for food, and their skins and bones were used for clothing, shelter and tools. Later, animals were domesticated and used as beasts of burden, for food and clothing, and eventually for many other purposes. John Mill, a philosopher, believes that justice is the highest principle of ethics. He thinks that people are not to commit or permit injustice so that good may come, not even to violate the rights of the few so that the many might benefit (Regan). Slavery allowed this.

Written Opportunity: Justifying and Evaluation When I think of a lifestyle where I would not be able to eat meat, it frustrates me. I dont think that there is anything wrong with eating meat. I intend to eat it until the day I die. I also believe that a good portion of vegetarians do it either out of boredom of for attention. Holidays are a great time to come together as a family, talk about what has been going on in your lives, and eat an animal someone else killed. Sounds kind of weird when you put it like that doesnt it? Well, thats what we do and there is nothing wrong with that. I myself do not enjoy killing an animal, but if I was hungry enough I know that I would be able to do it. Its just like when I go fishing with my family, you have to bludgeon the fish you just caught to death so you can eat it later. You do it as quick as you can because you dont want to see that animal suffer. Its what people do, and why we have the teeth we do. Does that mean that killing

animals to eat is wrong? No, I dont think so. Cattle, pigs, and poultry are the holy trinity of meat. Just about everything we eat comes from these little guys. But a lot more comes fro

From the history, it can be seen that animal fur was one of the clothes material for our old ancestors. Nowadays, technology has been developed very well that we do not have to use genuine animal fur anymore. We can use fake fur or fake weather to protect us from the weather. The fact is, some people still use genuine animal fur for their clothes although they dont have to. The using of animal fur for clothes is considered as a fashion crime for reasons. The most significant reason why using animal fur for clothes is a fashion crime is because fashion does not hurt living creatures. Killing animals in order to skin their fur is absolutely hurting living creature. Just because those animals can not communicate their feeling to human clearly, does not mean that it is not hurt to be shot, killed or hunted by human who wanted to skin them. This fashion rule seems trivial since animal never go on strike, but it must be hurt. It is not ethical to hurt other living creatures just to get everything we want. Another reason why it is wrong to use animal fur is that it ruins the ecology balance in our nature. Our nature has its own balance, but human ruin it by destroy the food chain. Human decreases the amount of the animals which have beautiful fur too much that unexpectedly increase the amount of the other animals. Human killed too many bears, wolves, tigers and deer which make our ecology imbalanced. This imbalanced situation is not only dangerous for animals, but also human. It can cause climate change, disease, natural disaster and famine. In general, it is wrong to use animal fur for our jackets, hats, or bags. It hurts living creature, and it destroys the ecology balance. If we are still using animal fur fr our clothes, means that we have destroyed our nature indirectly.
