To our National President of the JCI Senate Philippines, JCI Senator Antonio H. Cerilles, to his better half and Congresswoman of the 2nd District of Zamboanga del Sur Hon. Maayong Buntag! First of all, let me greet everyone of our Brods and Sis, a happy JCI Week! For almost 29 years, Jayceesism has always made it a point to be a dynamic force of change in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur. Led by our godfather, Governor Antonio H. Cerilles, we have helped our community and its constituents in relevant activities, projects and missions under the tenets of our Organization. We have gone a long way, and this week, is a core opportunity to let our presence be felt once again by our society and say, its a great time to be a JCI member! For the benefit of our new members and guests let me give a short description of this JCI Week. The JCI Week is a Celebration done all-over the country that aims to showcase our Organizations Leadership Excellence and Competence in a week-long celebration of meaningful and relevant projects that will create an impact in the community and thus, equipping them of the purpose of the existence of our organization. By doing such, we hope to increase membership being model leaders in the society with the implementation of purposeful activities as living testimony of our mission. For the next six days, we have lined-up different undertakings and projects not just for the development of our members but more importantly to our community. To name a few of these

highlighted activities we have: medical and dental missions, basketball and badminton tournaments, anti-drug campaign symposiums, livelihood training seminars, JCI courses and a benefit concert! I know we have many things to do, but I believe that if we work together as a team, as how we have worked in this past seven months, I believe that we can make this Week a success. To paraphrase Andrew Carnegie: Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. To the different chairpersons of the weeks activities, and especially to the Over-all Chairman of this JCI Week Celebration, JCI Senator Felbert Rendon, I know this will be a daunting task; it will have its difficulties and there will be a lot of trials. But remember, greatness is never easily achieved. We, as individuals are strong, but as a unit I believe we can do great things. Find strength in our brods and sis, our vision to become a positive change and the JCI tenet to serve humanity and the community to fuel our desire to make this a victory. As I come to close this small talk allow me to leave you with this thought: Coming together is a beginning, and staying together is progress, but only when teams sweat together do they find success. I hope that by your coming here, it will be a beginning of something dynamic, that we will stick together for progress and that we will work hard together for triumph! And lastly I call on our JCI brothers and sisters. The next time people ask you, why this is a great time to be a JCI member? Tell them this:

POSITIVE CHANGE Its more fun in JCI! Maraming

salamat sa inyong pakikinig! Mabuhay ang JCI! Mabuhay tayong lahat!
