Introduction
Nisrina Nadhifah Rahman - friendly known as Ninies One of YAP Member UNFPA Indonesia has been selected to representing Indonesia at The 1st Global UNiTE to prevent and end violence against women and girls Youth Forum from 22-24 May 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. As the UNFPA Country Representative confirmed agreements, UNFPA Indonesia warmly supported Ninies with the funding provision for attending this forum which also could be a right moment to improve Ninies knowledge, capabilities, and advocacy skills to implement the specific action on preventing and responding violence against women and girls, and to congruously work in some related-focus issues as Youth Advisory Panel UNFPA Indonesia Member, and also as a part of Youth-Adult Partnership implementation within the rest of UNFPA Indonesia family.

Background
On 25 February 2008, the United Nations Secretary-General launched the UNITE to End Violence against Women campaign, 2008-2015, which has the overall objective of raising public awareness and increasing political will and resources for preventing and responding to violence against women and girls. The Secretary-General's campaign calls for a strengthening of the work of the UN system on ending violence against women and girls, seeks to increase global advocacy and resources for the work on the issue, and build partnerships and capacities that address the persistence of gender inequality and violence against women and girls. It will be the first time ever that young activists from around the world will be brought together under the UNiTE campaign to discuss common strategies and challenges and to learn from and inspire one another.

Objectives
1. Strengthen global networking and strategic collaboration between youth activists from across the world working on preventing and ending violence against women and girls, through learning about their work and successes so far as well as developing youth-specific strategies and relevant activities around the world; Strengthen the regional and global knowledge base on what young people are developing, implementing and achieving at a national and local level to prevent and end VAW/G; Learn how the UNiTE campaign can better support and work with youth activists and involve them in the UNiTE campaign as partners, particularly at national level; Develop a joint Global UNiTE Youth Action Plan that outlines the goals and recommendations for the youth-specific activities of the UNiTE campaign for 2012-2013
