ONE DAY TRAINING WORKSHOP ON USE OF PICC CONSTRUCTION COST DATA Dear Sir, Pakistan Institute of Cost & Contracts (PICC), a subsidiary of Pakistan Engineering Council; in collaboration with Asian Development Bank (ADB) is organizing a one day Training Workshop on use of PICC Market based construction Cost Data on June 25, 2012 (Monday) in Seminar Hall of Transportation Engineering Department, University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. This workshop is meant for cost engineers, Quantity Surveyors and other relevant professionals. Detail program of the workshop and a brief Profile of PICC are attached with this invitation letter. You are requested to send your nomination(s) from your organization by mentioning name and complete contact details of your nominated persons along with bank draft /pay order amounting to Rs. 1000/- per person in the name of Pakistan Institute of Cost and Contracts, A/c No. -01421490005457, as soon as possible, but not later than June 15, 2012 (Friday). Transportation Charges Cost Behavior Trends Providers Database Cost Data Reports As on 7th May, 2012, PICC website has rates of 3673 basic input items, 2255 composite items and overall 831,803 data items, available free of cost, and being regularly updated on 7th of every month. PICC Cost Data are in process of notification by The Planning Commission of Pakistan and/or Pakistan Engineering Council for mandatory use as reference data in all construction related activities in Pakistan. PICC Cost Data are prepared by the relevant professionals, cost engineers, analysts & quantity surveyors having practical insight in analyzing the construction cost inputs. PICC has deputed market surveyors in major cities of Pakistan for the collection and verification of market rates.
