This Standard was prepared by the Standards Australia Committee CS/63, Swimming
Pool Contracts, to supersede (in part) AS 2160 –1984, Contract for supply and
construction of a swimming pool.
This edition incorporates the following major changes from the previous edition:

a) This Standard is a Contract for the supply and construction of a concrete
swimming pool, or spa.
b) Clauses on Contract inclusions, workmanship and disputes are included.

The notes for the guidance of users of the Contract are intended for use by both parties,
the Contractor and the Customer, and seek to guide the parties in the correct use of the
Contract.
