July 18, 2011 Monday

This is my first day of my practice teaching in san Julian Elementary school together with my co-intern teachers Cherry Pie Tacmo and Amando Yves Miclat. I felt a lot of excitement and nervous because it was my final and last field study. The school principal assigned me in grade IV-A in which Maam Grace O. Calub, was the class adviser. Sir Jaime Gabon told that he wanted to have one week to observe, to learn more strategies and techniques to our cooperating teacher. The next moment was going to our designated room. Mrs. Grace O. Calub, my cooperating teacher welcomed me and she introduced me to her class. I didnt feel any sign of nervousness but only of excitement. The pupils welcomed me so I confidently smiled back at them and gave my greetings Good morning. I was hoping to stay in this class until the end of my internship. In the afternoon I followed my students to go in the classroom of Mrs. Maricel Macabunga because she is the adviser in the afternoon. I observe her in her strategy of teaching. But later on, the adviser of grade I Mrs. Elizabeth Gascon went to our room asking to Maam Macabunga if I am free to substitute her. I spent my time facilitating grade I as they take their seatwork, but some students our naughty, some are not doing their seatwork, so I motivate them. In the teaching you need a lot of patient the first day of my observing was not an ordinary day. Now, I look forward for more enjoyment in my course.

July 20, 2011 Wednesday

This is the second day in practice teaching. I helped my students to clean their room and backyard until the bell rang for the flag ceremony. After the flag ceremony I and my fellow classmates went to the principal office to log in. Before Maam Calub teaches her lesson, she introduced me again to her students. I felt a little bit of nervous. I started to greet them a Good morning. I told them that I want to respect me the way you respect your teachers. I set rule and policies for them because it really hard to manage more than 30 students. At least it helped me a lot to control them. In the afternoon, Maam Macabunga asked me if I am going to teach that time. I answered not yet maam, I will just observe first. Maam Macabunga taught Filipino subject. She has a sense of humor in teaching yo make her class lively and to catch their attention of her students. Punctuality of the teacher is one of the best ways to supervise his/ her class. A

teacher must know a lot of strategies for children not to be bored.

July 22, 2011 Friday This is my last day of my observation and Maam Calub said that I will be teaching next week so she gave me a lesson for this coming Monday. In the afternoon, I followed my students to go in the room of Maam Macabunga. She told me also that I will be teaching next week. I felt excited and nervous because its my time to show what I have. I have to prepare myself in order to have more confident in front. I gained a lot of knowledge from my one week observation. Memorizing students name was not an easy job. Since, I observe one week I was able to memorize my students name. I learned a lot of techniques and strategies from teachers which are okay because it gave additional information.

July 25, 2011 Monday This is my first day in my actual teaching. I felt nervous but I need to prepare myself to have more confident in front. I just kept on smiling to avoid my nervous. I prepared my instructional materials and motivating my students to catch their attention. I am happy that my students participated as we do the discussion. My cooperating teacher commented on my performance and most of are positive comments. All the negatives she cites brought more encouragement as I continue my internship. In the afternoon, I prepared my instructional materials because I will teach in Filipino. Motivating my students, for me as a routine for the daily activity is so something hard to do inside the classroom through this you can have time to catch your students attention. All my students participated again and I am happy that all of them are passed in their quizzes that I have given. I believed tha learning is everywhere in my class, Ive always wanted them to learn by experience and discovering new things. I learned to manage my time properly as I work with my lesson plans snd instructional materials. I also learned how to prepare more time to myself for the better performance.

July 29, 2011 Friday

I went early in the morning to the school for the preparation for the nutrition month program. Today we celebrated the nutrition month. I felt excited that finally, I would be part of the program not a student but a teacher and master of ceremony. I and my co intern teachers Cherry pie Tacmo and Amando Yves Miclat was assigned to became Emcee in the program. The program started at 8 oclock in the morning. I felt nervous in front of many people. Most of them are parents but despite of that nervousness. I acted more confidently with firmness, different presentation of every level were seen and its such a nice feeling seeing students striving harder to showcase what they have. We end up the program with feeding the students. I left the program with a smile in me because of the fact that I became part of the said program. As what I always dreamed before. It was a dreamed came true..!

August 01, 2011 Monday I went to school at 7 oclock. I taught the class the whole day. In the morning, I taught English about possessive singular nouns. I felt inspired to teach them for I knew that they were all interested to learn. Even though, sometimes some students murmur with their seatmates, but I can manage and handle them professionally. In the afternoon, I taught Filipino about kambal katinig. They are all participated as we do the discussion and they are enjoying in their group activity. Every time they answered correctly I say some praises to motivate them. I have learned that you need also to say somethings to encourage to your pupils to push them to participate in the class.

August 03, 2011 Wednesday Today I was assigned to handle grade IV B because Maam Macabunga had a seminar. I felt excited because I was exposed to the other section. The pupils greet me a Good morning so I smiled back them and gave my greetings too. Almost half of pupils were absent. I taught Filipino, I was surprised that some of them they cant read but they are attentive and cooperative during the discussion. Even though some of them they cant raising their hands to answered my question, but I just keep on reminding and motivating my self to continue molding my student to become better and productive learners. I knew that even they were slow learners I could still impart knowledge to them. In the afternoon, Maam Calub decides to combine the Grade IV A and B because some students in grade IV B are almost absent. Some students were very noisy. Maam Calub taught in English so I observed that time. Today I have learned that proper classroom set up is very important for the success of teaching learning process. Improper handling of the classroom will lead to poor learning.

August 05, 2011 Friday

My day was very tiresome because I handle two grade levels in the whole day. In the morning, I was assigned to handle again grade IV B because maam Macabunga had a seminar again. Since maam Macabunga left she doesnt give any lesson, so I asked maam Calub if I am going to teach. She gives me a window card to do the pupils. After that, we spent our time to sung different song until the class dismissed. In the afternoon, I handled grade I because maam Gascon had an important meeting. She gave me a lesson that I will be teach. I expect that they were all attentive in my class but I am wrong because some students they did not listened instead they

played and played. I get mad of them but I need to keep myself calm. I didnt expect that my patience was tested, that I was able to shout and scold my pupils to make them listen to me. It is useless, they continued to play. I said to myself ayoko na, suko na ako, but I need to manage them and it is a challenge for me how to handle them. I made bluff to them, that if they will not listened I would not allow them to go outside. Finally they behaved well and listened to me seriously as really care. They were all behave until I dismissed the class.

August 08, 2011 Monday

I went to school early in the morning. I supervised my students to cleaned their room and backyard. My cooperating teacher asked me to handle the class for she had an important to do. She told me to conduct a review for the pupils to get prepared foer the 1st periodical examination. I knew the content of their exam because she gave me one of the copies of the test. We started reviewing in math all my pupils were really interested to listen to get high score in their examination. We spent our time in reviewing. In the afternoon, maam Macabunga gave me a lesson that I will never expect. I reviewed the lesson and I prepared my self. I felt a little bit nervous because I dont know if I can deliver it very well. I taught Filipino, my students participated as we do the discussion. After that we spent our time in reviewing and maam Macabunga gave me a lesson for next day. Today I manage the class properly even though my cooperating teacher was not around. You need to redy any time because sometimes they did not expect the unexpected.

August 10, 2011 Wednesday

I went to school not feeling well today, while my cooperating teacher not yet around. I supervised my students to cleaned their room and backyard after that I gave spelling for them through dictation. Since maam Calub had an appointment the other

day, she wasnt able to give any lesson for this day. Maam Calub taught in math. I observed her the way she taught. Shes kind as always. I am thankful that she is my cooperating teacher. We didnt discuss the whole day because we conduct a review for the pupils until the class dismissed. In the afternoon, I taught in science about amphibians. Before I started the lesson I always assured that everything was settled. After the discussion, I gave a lot activities to my students for them to not to make any noise. I always got angry every time they murmur to their seatmates than finishing their activities. I realized that classroom management is very effective in teaching to discipline your students. Discipline refers to the affective control of learning situations.

August 12, 2011 Friday Its Friday, I felt so tired but I felt relieved when my pupils greeted me and smiled at me. Some of my students are students are absent. We conduct the whole morning in reviewing for the 1st periodical examination this coming week. Maam Calub gave me one of the copies of the test paper. I was almost voiceless for I have to read each twice. We spent our time in reviewing. In the afternoon, maam Macabunga told me to conduct a review for the pupils, we started to review in science, but some of my pupils were not interested to listen. I told them to behave to get a high score for their examination. I have learned, in teaching the daily task are time consuming and tiring, but the funniest and the best thing it are the experiences that are essential enough for learning. August 15, 201 Monday I went to school early in the morning since Maam Calub not yet around I supervised them to clean their room. Today was the 1st examination. While we are waiting maam Calub, I asked the pupils to take the chance to review. A while ago my cooperating teacher came in and asked the pupils to keep their things. While them taking up the test. I was just seated in one chair at the corner and stood up once in a while to look for pupils answers. I found the examination to be very east. I was hoping that they will find easier too.

August 17, 2011 Wednesday

All they long, we spent our time in checking their test paper. Every time we checked their test paper, they are very noisy asking to their seatmates ilan nakuha ko?So I told them to behave and I bluff them, that every time they are noisy I will deduct two points to their test paper. Maam Calub told me to record their scores. I realized that I should be a little strict in order to maintain good climate in the classroom.

August 19, 2011 Friday Its Friday, some of my students are absent today. In the morning, since maam Calub wasnt able to give lesson for this day. She told that I will continue to record their scores. Maam Calub taught a new lesson for this 2 nd quarter. After she taught, she gave me a lesson for this coming Monday. In the afternoon, Maam Macabunga gave me a lesson on the spot. She gave me a time to master the lesson. I taught h.k.s since I have background of the subject matter it would not be hard for me to deliver it.

August 22, 2011 Monday

I went to school early in the morning. I supervised my students to clean their room and backyard until the bell rang for the flag ceremony. After the flag ceremony I and my co-intern teachers went to the principal office to log in and we walked through our room together. While we are waiting maam Calub, I asked my students to pray and exercise. A while ago my cooperating teacher comes in. While I am preparing my things, maam Macabunga went to our room asking if I am free because she had an important meeting. Maam Macabunga gave me a lesson that I will be teach. I taught

science in grade IVB, I discussed the parts of the flowers. After the discussion I gave activity for them. In the afternoon, I followed my students to go in the room of maam Macabunga. Since Maam Macabunga had an important meeting, I handle the class the whole time. Lesson plan were all prepared I taught science in grade IVA, I discussed again the parts of the flowers. My students enjoyed their classes we maximized our time to find enjoyment as we study.

August 24, 2011 Wednesday In the morning, I taught mathematics, Im so happy that they are interested to listen. They were so participated and I gave more activities to my students, after that my students had a practice for their presentation on Friday for the Buwan ng Wika. My students were practicing the Sabayang Pagbigkas. All of them they participated. In the afternoon, I taught h.k.s, we didnt discuss the whole time because they practiced again with their presentation on Friday. It was tiring day, but I enjoyed a lot since the day I started my practice teaching. Now, I just keep in praying for the continuous success of my practice teaching.

August 26, 2011 Friday We celebrated the Buwan ng Wika today. We didnt teach today but we prepared a lot of programs for everyone. I was again a chance to became mastery of ceremony in that program together with my co-intern teachers The program started at 8 oclock in the morning. Selected guardians and pupils presented their intermission number. We end up the program with joyful and smiled in our face. I realized to become a prouder Filipino for the rich cultures we have. I learned to value and to give honor to our country by teaching my students to become proud and humble Filipinos.

I went to school early in the morning. I supervised my students to clean their room and backyard. I observe the class the whole day because my cooperating teacher wasnt able to give lesson, due the very long weekend. In the morning maam Calub taught math, English and epp. She gave me a lesson after she taught. In the afternoon, some of my students are absent. Maam Macabunga taught h.k.s and Filipino. After she taught she gave me a lesson for this coming week.

September 05, 2011 Monday I taught the class the whole day. In the morning, I taught math. I started to motivate them to catch their attention. I discussed how to multiply five digits into two digits factors. Some of my students they didnt know how to multiply. So I made my presentation become smothering to understand the lesson. After the discussion, I gave activity for them until the class dismissed. In the afternoon, maam Macabunga taught science and Filipino. After she taught I prepared my things. I stand on front to more confident. I taught h.k.s, I discussed the industry of region II. I am glad that they are participated as we do the discussion.

I always show my best efforts every time I stand in front and not just to impress oanyone else, but to transfer the knowledge to my pupils. September 07, 2011 Wednesday

The subject I taught was mathematics. The lesson was all about multiplication. I explained very well to the pupils on how to multiply the digits. After that I wrote some exercises on the board to be solved by the pupils. I called each pupil to solve the problem on the board. After that I gave them seatwork to do in order to see if they really understood the lesson. In the afternoon, I didnt expect that Ill be teaching because maam Macabunga had a lot of paper works to do. I taught science, I had a hard time to present the lesson because I noticed that some of the children were not attentive, so I stopped teaching and I look at them. I gave them seatwork to keep them busy.

September 09, 2011 Friday

I was assigned to teach mathematics and h.k.s the whole day. In the morning, I taught mathematics about multiplying five digits into three digit factors. I explained very well to the pupils on how to multiply digits I made my presentation become smooth to understand the lesson. I wrote some exercises on the board to be solved by the pupils. I called pupils to be solved the problem. After that I gave them seatwork. In the afternoon, I taught h.k.s about the region IV A. I started to review the past lesson and I motivate them. I present very well my presentation even though some of my students are noisy but I handle them professionally. I gave activity for them after the discussion and I gave them an assignment.

September 12, 2011 Monday

I came to school early, back to our normal routine, while maam Calub not yet around I gave spelling to my pupils through dictation. After that maam Calub came in. I started to teach English for the first subject. We read a story, after reading the story, I asked some questions about the story they read. In the afternoon, maam Macabunga reviewed the past lesson before she presented the new lesson. She gave seatwork to the pupils to find out, if the pupils understood the lesson she presented. After maam Macabunga taught, she told me to teach Filipino. I stand on front to have confident and I started to present my presentation. I asked question about our topic and after that I gave activity and assignment for them.

September 14, 2011 Wednesday

In the morning I was assigned to teach English. First we did our daily routine, cleaning the room and backyard. I started to present the new lesson. I discussed my lesson and asked some questions regarding the topic. After that I gave some seatwork and assignment. I and maam Calub talked about my final demonstration. He suggested a lot of strategies to make my demonstration more interesting. In the afternoon, I taught Filipino. They are all participated during the discussion and they are enjoying in their group activity. After that I gave some seatwork for them.

September 16, 2011 Friday

I came to school early in the morning because I need to supervise my pupils to clean their room and their designated lawn. After we did our daily routine, maam Calub told me to observe her while she was teaching and she said that I can use what ever techniques or method. I could acquire from her during my teaching demonstration. In the afternoon, I taught h.k.s. I started to present my lesson, but my pupils were very noisy so I motivate them by sung a song to avoid their noisy. I discussed my lesson and im happy that they are participated during the discussion. After that I gave some seatwork and assignment.

September 19, 2011 Monday

September 21, 2011 Wednesday Its busy day, in the morning maam Calub asked me to handle the student because she need to practiced the players of SJES for the preparation of zone meet. She gave me a lesson that I will be teach. I taught mathematics since some of my students joining in athletic meet, I handle more than 25 students and its not hard for me to handle them. After the discussion I gave some activity for them. In the afternoon, I taught science. My students enjoyed in their experiment and group activity. After that I gave seatwork and assignment for them.

September 23, 2011 Friday

We celebrated the intramurals in Tagurarit Elementary school. We had a zoon meet together with the other school. We arrived at Tagurarit at 7 oclock in the morning. The parade started at 8 oclock, though I felt tired because we walked a long distance, I was remained quite but jumping deep inside because of UN explained joy and experienced. When I was watching the students while they play I realized that sports will help them to learn more. Aside from having a strong and healthy body, it also taught them to be a leader. The pupils really enjoyed what we did. Take it upon myself to inspire them that they can do anything as long as they believe in their team and most of all their abilities.

We all enjoyed every second of the day. I cant count how many times I smiled and laughed. I cant explain the happiness I felt and it was another experienced in my practiced teaching.

September 27, 2011 Monday In the morning, Maam Macabunga went to our room asking me if I am free because she had an important to do. I handle Grade IVB, since maam Macabunga gave seatwork to her students I facilitate them. During their recess one of student called me to go to the principal office. All the faculty teachers is there in the principal office because maam Macabunga celebrate her birthday. After that we go back to our room and I greeted maam Macabunga.

In the afternoon, I taught h.k.s I make my class lively and I gave group activity to my students. They really enjoyed in their activity. After that I gave seatwork to know if they really understand the lesson.

October 14, 2011 Friday

We have no regular classes because we cleaned our room because the flashfloods happened. After we cleaned our room, I gave my lesson plan to my cooperating teacher, she corrects all the wrongs in my lesson plan and we talked about my final demonstration. She gave me a lot of strategies.

October 17, 2011 Monday I didnt go to the school because I and my classmates will go to the San Pedro Elementary school and I prepared my materials for my final demonstration.

October 20, 2011 Wednesday

I went to school early in the morning carrying my improvised materials for my final demonstration. We started cleaning our room for my demonstration. After that my cooperating teacher asked me to start practicing my presentation. I felt a little bit of nervous. She advised me to act naturally before I began. She was listening and observing attentively. She corrected all my wrongs especially my voice. She really wanted me to have a good presentation. I did follow every advised she made because I knew that she knew whats best for me.

Wednesday

We had general cleaning in our classroom day. We set up the whole room for my tomorrow demonstration. I began to practice my presentation according to the instruction of my cooperting teacher. Maam Amelia Obrero, our English teacher watched over my practice. She advised me to act normally and naturally as if no one sees me and observe me what I am doing. After that, I prepared all the materials needed for my demonstration. I posted it on a blackboard and placed the other on the pocket chart. I went home nothing to worry about my final demonstration. All I am praying now is to have confident as I stand in front of my teachers do my final demonstration.

October 22, 2011 Friday

My final demonstration

Every thing was prepared my materials, the room, the chairs, everything was alright. It was just few hours to wait before my presentation. I was very excited and a little bit of nervous. I prayed and prayed while waiting for the time. After almost three months of struggling, the moment finally came. I stand in front with more confident. I just kept on smiling to avoid my nervous until sounds of words came out on my mouth. Act like no observe me and let myself enjoy the moment. When I was done, I told myself thanks God, success, my cooperating teacher congrats me. During the post evaluation, I felt very happy as I heard their comments and reactions about my demonstration. Of course, there are bad points but I know it will help me for my improvement. Their good comments motivated me to continue reaching my ultimate dream. I want to cry, shed a lot of tears for all the appreciation any

compliments they gave me. In the afternoon, we didnt discuss the whole time; I spent my time to bonding my students because this is my last day as a practice teacher. I felt very sad about it. Some of my students gave me a card for their remembrance. When class dismissed maam Calub told to her students that this is my last day in my practice teaching. My students said mamimiss ka naming maam I feel mixed emotions, I dont know if I will cry or laugh. I gave thanks to my cooperating teacher for her trust and support during my practice teaching. I learned a lot as I stayed in my cooperating school.
