SprinkCAD Pro II and N1 software includes functionality to design and layout fire sprinkler systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and produce material lists ready for pricing and fabrication, providing a complete piping solution. Designers can manually layout any system quickly and easily with fast, accurate drawing and editing tools, or use the powerful System Builder to design rooms, bays, or even entire buildings in a flash. A Smart Drawing Interface (SDI) makes SprinkCAD Pro II and N1 programs the easiest sprinkler design software to learn and use. As the designs are made, drawing errors can be displayed, and the program does not permit many common types of errors. Select the type of errors to track and how the error messages should be displayed; e.g. open end pipes can be displayed as a water leak in real time. Smart Job Information such as job name and job address can be entered one time on the drawing, or in one of the SprinkCAD Pro II and N1 dialog windows. The information on the drawing can include over 100 items when multiple hydraulic calculation areas are present.

The Areas Command is a powerful addition to SprinkCAD Pro II and SprinkCAD N1 software, giving the user the ability to easily define piping information for specific portions of a drawing. These areas may have default piping or ceiling elevations specified by differing floor levels without the need to calculate the reference above the default CAD elevation of 0. Double-clicking Edit and Hints allows viewing and/or editing of any piping value without the selection of any command from a menu or toolbar. When Hints is enabled, simply mouse-over a pipe with the cursor and the information about that pipe, including the size, elevation, type, and hydraulic flow, can be viewed. Auto Hanger Insertion will place the hangers per the minimum required spacing rules and can add extension pipes to allow connections to structural members as necessary.

Data Base/Parts Catalog access and editing is now much easier with a new export/import feature that allows the maintenance of the Parts Catalog in Microsoft Excel.
